Cough....Leichhardt

(I know the facilities like corporate stuff is substandard, but we do get a home ground vibe there)

Hasn’t recently translated into results though. So not much of an advantage.

Without trawling through stats (someone will if Im wrong), Leichhardt is our most successful ground (best win/loss) so that is an advantage. IF your team is somewhere between rubbish and average, no ground is going to translate to >50%. It is certainly (particularly in the members seats) the best atmosphere for fans and players.

Where abouts do you sit mate?

Last row before the fence in the "concourse" section, near 40m line south of tunnel.

Finally get rid of that ridiculous home game against Parra at bankwest. Prefer if it was at one of our other home grounds but will take this.

Great decision

I hate ANZ lol

I hate ANZ as well but this game makes too much sense. There is literally almost a million people walking out of the Easter Show right next door. Should be a massive crowd assuming massive crowds are allowed by then.

Apart from the 'home' ground advantage being taken back from Parramatta, just love the opportunity that day at the precinct provides for our family.

Reserve a spot in Parking 1, walk down to the showground to enjoy a few hours in the pavilions before getting a readmission stamp and heading to our seats to watch some footy amongst the atmosphere of a much larger than normal crowd.

After the game we generally head back down for a few rides under the bright lights in the evening, having the car with some goodies a change of clothes within a short stroll all day.

You very lucky dude :+1: ...sounds like a very contented and happy Family day.

Thanks, we have had several great holiday Mondays there and especially good with a couple of WT wins. Sadly progressive paranoid schizophrenia tore apart at that bit by bit to the point that we have only been able to be together as a family unit sporadically since the days of the move to bankwest.

With her now long term acceptance of medication and a change of pharmaceuticals in recent months, plus today's announcement from the club, I hope that despite Covid, we will once again be able to enjoy a family day out together at both the game and showgrounds this Easter.

Thank goodness she 'understands and accepts' her medication, as that is a **major **battle with anyone who has mental issues.
But as other posters have said re various health issues...when/if things get tough in the future, dont forget that You must take time out to look after yourself... to keep yourself healthy.

A great crooner by the name of Al Martino many moons ago sang a song called "I've gotta be me"...'I'm no good to anyone else if I'm not right by Me'.

I love Leichhardt, but I can genuinely say it depends what you are going for. Many years ago I used to love it on the hill but not so much now because I have kids and my partner with me, however the hill now is a place for (very) casual league fans who go for the novelty and "cultural" (trendy pop culture) value of the experience and there is nothing wrong with that. It is part of their day that starts at the Orange Grove pub and ends at a niche Newtown diner and thats cool, their money is worth the same as mine.

I now sit in the members area, in pretty much the same spot as when my dad bought membership 30years ago. From there its a different experience.

I think that members area on the concourse is the best seat in Rugby League.

I meant of our "home" grounds.

Wollongong brings back bad memories. Back in the very early days of the Steelers when they used to get pumped by EVERYONE, I pestered my Dad to take me to the footy and he took me down there. We sat in a rickety timber grandstand facing the ocean. It was FREEZING and flogging rain and the hopeless Steelers pumped Balmain. Long drive back.

He does have a point though, if he bought a membership for Bankwest expecting there to be a certain number of games there.

It looks good on television, that's all the positive I can say about Leichhardt.

A game at Leichhardt is on my bucket list. From a far away fan, I can tell you that every game we play there has a completely different feel to it. The closest thing I can think of is Wankhede Stadium (cricket) when the Indian cricket team play. Of course that is on another level, but it has a similar feel.

It looks good on television, that's all the positive I can say about Leichhardt.

A game at Leichhardt is on my bucket list. From a far away fan, I can tell you that every game we play there has a completely different feel to it. The closest thing I can think of is Wankhede Stadium (cricket) when the Indian cricket team play. Of course that is on another level, but it has a similar feel.

Where are you from mate?
