Just do not see him as a player that is any better than players we have on our books now. Okay he has a ton of experience and will do a job but it has to be remembered he has played in a really strong pack for years, so at his age will he be able to maintain form in a pack that might struggle for a while?? I just think there must be better options out there

Eastwood has struggled for a year or two. Could need a new lease on life to regain form as some players go stale, that brain fart that handed us the match was a coach killer though.

I think fitness is a big factor for him, he's certainly carrying a spare tyre ATM.

If he isnt heavily subsidised by the Dogs wouldnt go near him. Do what Cronulla did to us with Fifita and Gibbs - we will take him off your hands if we get Hopa too. We have to be the benefactors - they need to offload him, we have options.

I like this idea.

But i'd still take him for 200-250k. He's an upgrade on the likes of Lovett, Edwards, etc without paying much more than we're paying the existing guys. That's what we need - to improve our entire squad.

He wouldn't be guaranteed a starting spot by any means and would still need to earn his spot on the training paddock.

Gordon stated in a TV interview he may go around for 1 more year in the NRL or go back and play with his mates (bush footy), it all depends how he feels over the coming months.
