Keep selecting him in reserve grade and back jt as coach in 2017\. His ego is too big to handle this and he will find his way out.

It will be all over soon. This is about saying to Robbie, nothing's changed. We need relief from your salary in 2017 to move the club forward, hurry up and get a deal done so we can both move on.

The deal is pay him his money, as they Contracted to do, and there's no problem
The longer this goes, it just shows how far the club will go , to try to get out of paying , when they want to break a contract

They are not trying to get out his contract. Just like every other club does they are trying to get relief from his salary by moving him to another club. What part of that don't you understand?

This is getting boring. We probably pull off the win of the season without Brooks and we are back to the Farah subject. Most agree he has been treated poorly whilst everyone should accept the coaches decision to pick teams he believes will win games. We have won 3 in a row without Farah and he won't be back this year unless we are out of contention.

Canning the club in the media doesn't sit comfortably with loyalty for mine.

But canning players and the club on a public forum is loyal behaviour on behalf of a supporter? If he shouldn't be discussing the problems with the club due to loyalty, then neither should you. He has a major larger right than you do to discuss the problems at the club.

If you don't get the difference you probably won't understand the explanation.

No I get it fully, Nelson and anyone else here has every right to be critical of the club or players, I don't have a problem with that. I do however find it hypercritical of a supporter to say that a player can not discuss the problems they see in the club when in the exacts same post they are criticizing the player for being disloyal for doing the same thing. If it is disloyal for a club captain, premiership winner to criticize then it's disloyal for supporter to do same. And this I pay money, he gets paid argument is just crap. Robbie has earnt the right to discuss this club's future and to defend himself.

You can't be serious in suggesting that fans who fork out money to a club have no rights to question that club yet a contracted employee on big money of the same club has every right to do so without any comeback on him. Robbie has earnt nothing other than to abide what the club decides to do with him. He happily signed a lucrative contract to do just that.

Yet again I'm hearing all this bad stuff on here that Robbie has done. What did he say ? I thought he said basically a bunch of stuff that was spot on. It definitely was nothing to get your panties in a knot over.

You can not please everyone, TT has given us a great insight into what is going on behind the scenes and some people want to have a shot at him. As I said in a previous post, the Farah thing is complexed and is about a lot of things and is not just a Taylor and farah personality clash. Also interesting to read Farah has upset someone of influence and my guess it is our chair woman.

If Cleary's price is 200g more than Taylors, I do not see that as a stumbling block when you consider what we pay players

100% agree, just let Robbie get his 250 games and move to souths, and cough up the extra money for Cleary, and see you to both Farah and JT, we can all move forward with confidence then. 😛ray:

What extra money? Coaches salaries aren't included in the cap.

Where did I mention the cap, I said cough up the extra from what we are paying Taylor and get Cleary.

From memory, Cleary's winning percentage is less than 50%. How does that justify him putting himself in the Bennett and Bellamy pay scale. Has never won a premiership, but has a massive reputation. Sort of like Brian Smith, but with a worse record

There the people that have not liked Farah and really want him out but have and managed to stay constructive about things throughout. They understand that a guy who has played 247 games at this club deserves some respect.

Then where are those that are happy to call him names, abuse him every thread, cheap jokes, bag him at every opportunity etc. These same fans hate some apparent traits in Farah behave similarly themselves in this forum.

I wasn't going to reply but… he basicly said the coach is trash, our defence is trash, our attack isn't a problem and it aint got nothing to do with me

"I'll try not to do anything wrong because I think that's what they're trying to get me to do, but I'm a bit smarter than that."

i wonder why people don't like him that much anymore, does robbie work at a gun shop cause he's giving away free ammo

Kavi I have always said Farah is not perfect. I have not defended him all the time. Far from it, I have been critical of him on a number of occasions. People though have the blinkers on and only seem to see my comments where i defend him in certain instances.

However I don't take the opportunity to constantly bag, joke about and call names of a bloke who has dedicated 13/14 years to this club and won a premiership at this club. Some have revelled in his misery, they have enjoyed his demise. I find it poor form but thats just my opinion.

You couldn't resist a cheap gag like many others. There a few that have argued constructively and fairly against all things Farah and I have no issue with that.

I think it's that people love the club, first and foremost, then the players in it from time to time.

When you attack the club, that's when the people who bleed black and gold get upset. That's what Robbie and ayoub have done with their media campaign. It should never happen by one of our own.

If newspaper reports of Mr Taylor calling Robbie selfish for representing Australia are correct then the Club via Mr Taylor started the blue. The Wests part of the JV knew how Mr Taylor is due to his own previous employment by the Club that was not always smooth. It is not Robbie's fault that JT was not good enough to be selected for Australia.

Do you think that's what started it? I don't. I just think one side doesn't talk to the media and one does. So what info we have from the papers is pretty filtered.

I took in what TT said about Robbie burning bridges with people other than JT. That doesn't happen with one joking comment.

I don't consider Robbie's quip as a joking comment but as a putdown by someone who had achieved more and was not letting himself being bullied by someone whom was never in that situation. Taylor spoke to the media re Robbie and team cohesion and other matters a year ago so he started the media campaign.

Just to get my head around this comment and it may help others, but is this a reference to Taylor's playing days at Wests from 1989-1993?

I would never suggest people bag him out - the guy has bled for the club. But my point is I don't believe he or any other player has the right to bag the club in public - if they are dissatisfied complain behind closed doors. They are contracted by the club to do whatever and if they don't like it then work it out in private or walk away. All clubs go through this at some stage its just not played out in the media over 2 seasons.

Supporters don't have the option to voice their concerns behind closed doors. There's only one way they can be heard. Its a real narrow minded argument.

Very well said. There are people on here with very short memories and talk about Farah like they know him personally. There criticisim of him is not about how he plays but who he is as a person and again all based on rumour and heresay. The hatred for someone who bled for this club and was a critical part of us winning a comp amazes me. The club threw him under a bus, how did they expect him to react. This was poorly handled last year when Pascoe came in and sided with Farah, and its poorly handled now with Pascoe and others trying to force farahs hand. The question that needs to be asked is, if farah was on $500,000 next year would this whole saga have happened. Would he have been dropped to reserves? I think we all know the answer to that. This is no way to treat a club legend, although for the sake of the club and himself hopefully he finds another home and moves on.
