Elijah Taylor Re-Signs till 2020..

Well ive got a long 3 years ahead of me deciding if he's an effective addition to the pack or just holds someone better out hindering our progress. Cant say im excited.

Always have to be negative about something
He's a hard-working bloke who puts in the hard yards and tidies up the defense. He's our best wrestler and a leader of the pack. He is very effective. Simple.

Great news….gee he speaks highly of Ivan and clearly articulates the reason he signed on....

ET to be the Bus navigator!

Great signing, not the best footballer in the world, but you know your going to 100% every week and unlike a few others, the gap between his worst game and best game is very minimal. Sets the standard on and off the field for the rest of the club to follow

We are getting there, Taylor just needs more help so he's not making 40-50 tackles per game. Hooth and Twal are helping sure-up the middle and Taylor is better used on the edge.

No his hitups are not going to be gangbusting charges but he is smart and he does take some good options in attack.

Did he do anything special? Hardly anyone did today but ET was there when it counted, made a lot of covering tackles, many 1-1.

He's a good all-around footballer and I don't see why you'd not want him to stay at the club, for all the lack of depth we have. ET fits well into a well-balanced side, something we still don't have yet.

There's a reason he's making that many tackles - He's being targeted because he doesn't hurt anyone….

He's slow and doesn't make many meters - Handy with the ball in hand yes, But is it enough to warrant his 500 a year price tag?

There's a reason we've improved of late and it's not because of ET.

Are you looking at the right player? Been to Specsavers lately? ET almost every tackle has the opposition player on their back, with his head pinning their body on the ground long enough to get our D organised.
Mathew Elliott rates his the third best lock in the NRL, and I suppose Elliott has a lot more experience than both you and myself.

I bet you if we signed the whole Australian team there would be some people on here that would have a negative comment about, even if we went through a season as un-defeated premiers.

I think it's a good signing for his defensive attributes alone !
He's our modern day Liam Fulton .

Never saw this coming thought Lurker told me he was going back to New Zealand..

Very professional on and off the field..couldn't think of too many others you would want to build a new culture around…

Expect he will be named Co-Captain with Lawrence..

I'm glad he' re-signed but 3 years is maybe too long. He's already been pushed out of lock by Eisenhuth and he's less effective in the back row as he doesn't pose much threat as a runner.

Our back row is still a massive problem for next year, half a dozen workers and no one that can break the line….

He's certainly up there for captain and a top person to have in the squad though

I think Taylor starting in 2nd row is more a result of lack of other options than Eisenhuth being better than him. With Lawrence, McQueen and Aloiai all fit at the beginning of next year, I expect we'll see ET back at lock.

Exactly so, and he's watching the ref's. How many times have I seen him holding an opponent down in the tackle, and see his hands fly up at the last minute, expecting him to get pinged. But he doesn't.

Never in doubt. He had a good relationship with Taylor and probably has an even better one with Cleary. He'll see out his career here, or stay for as long as Cleary does. 2018 Captain elect.

Just compare ET's comments and feelings about the club & compare that to others this year!

I love our bus!

Just shows how immature the other clowns are.

Took advantage of our good will.

Being local juniors you would expect more.

If only they chucked their tantrums at their new club's so they can see how childish these sooks are.

Not going to happen though because they know it just won't work for them
