Eye of the Tiger theme

The Magpies use to run out to Celebration in the mid 90's. It worked surprisingly.

I remember it playing when we used to win GNR , but don't remember us running out to it

Then again they may have cut the sound when the teams ran on for TV /Radio

If it's a Metallica song it's gotta be Seek and Destroy. Or my personal favourite, Creeping Death.

Metallica are the kings of cool intros to their songs-you could pick 20 or more that would be awesome run on songs. Damage Inc, Battery, Blackened, Puppets, Sanitarium etc.

The 2 that would kick the most arse would be Dyer's Eve and especially Fight Fire With Fire…...that mellow acoustic guitar starting up as the boys walk down the tunnel and transforming into that balls-out heavy-as-#### intro riff right at the moment they hit the field....flames shooting into the sky as well.....man, that would be the all time!

The old fogies amongst the crowd would probably recoil in horror though. So I guess it is just Eye Of The Tiger for the rest of our years.

Ride the Lighting is an epic intro as well, and Motorbreath.

Anything off the first four albums would work really.

If you want the fans to connect to the song, the song has to connect with the fans

I can't see heaps of the fans singing a song like these being mentioned

I want a song that makes the hairs on the back of the players and fans necks to stand up and almost brings people to tears

Something we can sing mid game to lift the boys , when they are mounting a comeback or starting to wilt

20 000 Tigers fans uniting as one , Farah lover or haters ,Taylor lovers or haters , Balmain or Wests supporters ,Leichardt lovers ,Campbelltown lovers , who cares , when this song plays we are brothers and sisters for life , till death do us part

Fight For Your RIght by the Beastie Boys would be a good song during warm ups. Another good one, and I'm not an AC/DC fan but Shoot To Thrill. I walked into a concert a few months ago and that was playing and it pumped me up.

Misty Mountain Hop by Zepplin would be a good song to run out too.

Don't expect too many to know this one, "Frightfully Moderne", cracking tune from a great Aussie band You Am I.

"….you ain't see the best of us yet!..."

Thin Lizzy - Are you Ready.

Nice one WD. Thin Lizzy are awesome. Cold Cold Sweat by Thin Lizzy is another song that gets the blood flowing.
Sport is too sanitized and polically correct these days to even contemplate anything heavier than Jessica Mauboy or Guy Sebastian. Its pretty pitiful.
At least the Yanks play grabs of Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica etc at their NFL games, hope Australia catches up one day in this regard.

Never Tear Us Apart INXS

Cmon Happy! Its a game of rugby league not a freaking wedding reception :deadhorse:

I can't picture rusted-on Westies with tattooed foreheads and foreskins linking arms and forming a schoolboy choir to bellow out a rendition of Never Tear Us Apart. Leave the soppy love songs for the ESL and A-League.
Next you will be suggesting I Will Always Love You or I've Had The Time Of My Life. Fire up Happ old son :righton:

We need a club song that the crowd can get into after a win. Shark park rocks after a win to up up cronulla.

I heard Happy offered his Celine Dion tapes for the club to use.

Think they must lurk the forum

All suggestions were passed onto the Membership committee…

Keep em coming...

Well that is good to hear Geo that they are at least taking on board what the fans would like for their matchday experience.

Motörhead's Ace Of Spades would be a good choice for a sound grab after a try is scored.
Heard the Benny Hill theme getting a good going-over during the video ref deliberations yesterday as well!
