Look Sheens did not lose the game today. What did our star players do? Zero, nudda, nil. And our forwards went awesome.

For a group of players who constantly dish out the we love playing under Sheens crap….they seem to play uninspired way too much.....Time for a change!!

One area that i think Sheens' falls down in (besides team selction) is that he gives the players too much to think about. Ive often heard how simple Wayne Bennett keeps things, and to me, Sheens is the opposite. Just little things that are not needed. For example today, Waters fed the scrum, knocked it on and then packed in at hooker. Why the switch? And the positions when we pack a scrum constantly change from scrum to scrum. The hooker/half/lock will be different each time. Now i know its only minor, but its just an example of over complicating things when we just need to keep it simple. These are footballers, so lets keep it simple Tim.

bennet has a game plan that suits his players, sheens tries to make the players suit the game plan

For one, he's not the bloke who's out on the field controlling terms and you know, amongst many of your insightful posts, i don't recall you mentioning a replacement for Sheens.

Truthfully the team now has better forwards and outside backs than we have had in ages..

And they played great! But they need the starts to do what they are paid to do

Take it outside. We all love this team and want to see the wins flow. Criticism is warranted, constructive criticism is essential, but this name calling garbage is wasting my time in reading it.

There's a good bunch of players here. Injuries suck. God I hope we can turn it around.

I think the coaching can be good. it isn't the coaching that is the problem - it is team selections.

Team selections + robbie has been ordinary for a long time now + benji is not the player he was at the backend of last year and at the start of this year.

Robbie plays at 9 and Sheens needs to give him strict instructions about staying there and getting us going forward. I watched Ennis the other night and he is atm about 20 times the player Robbie is. This is solely because he tries and get his forwards going forward. Benji at 6 or 7 but the main point is that he needs to get involved and lead the team around + he needs to run it more.

We also need impact on our bench. Fifita is a gun but we need more players creating something when they come on the field.

Truthfully the team now has better forwards and outside backs than we have had in ages. We are close but Sheens needs to get it together quick.

Well I consider the team selections all part of the coaching, in saying that though, yes the team is poorly coached, the options being taken are overall bad, the direction is bad, no one appears to know what others are doing. On top of that, we just don't seem to be mentally ready for games when we have a few injuries, we completely lose our way, which screams to me, poor preparation. Yes, some times we've handled it, but more often than not, we just fall apart with a poor attack.

On top of the poor bench selection, it's also poorly used.

Hey ron I like many of your posts. But cub has a point here. Footy is not won by the coach, but by the players. Today our stars went missing and we lost. And I started a thread on who should replace sheens and noone gave a real replacement, including you. In fact the thread concluded that there was no real replacement that we want. That to me says a lot. So lets look at the team on park also.

and just watching the news and sheens with the australian team selection of lyon saying he wanted a specialist in that position, quite ironic i though based on our team for the last 3 weeks

Rubbish, he played well. Correct me but he had the sun in his face on two towering wobbly bombs. That last try was lucky. If he was not tackled by mini he may well have cleaned it up.

this year but ive been calling for him since 08 when sheens contract was up for renewel back then, at least his in the ranks and when sheens goes hell be there to take over

dude, I'm talking about ALL of our losses this season. And for most of those games we've played blokes in the right positions yet you've still continued to bag sheens out after every loss.

Ron, in your honest opinion, do we not look different? I am not saying we are kicking arse, but seriously I think our defense and forward attitude is unlike any of the past years. I am gutted today, but if Benji and Farah fired today we win by 20+. You are a classic damaged heartfelt fan, as am i. but negativity will only get you so much support. Your insights are great, but I for one saw a quality team today let down by their stars. This happens.
