Fallen Soldiers

Hobbo's been missing for a while

Deported back to England no doubt

Wonder if he could take his Nissan Pulsar back with him

Would have been funny if smoking gun named simona in the tanking thread.
Who was the poster who got wedding photos at LO? How cool was that?

This thread reminds me that I've been coming here for some 13-14 years, in one guise or another. Amazing really, how it's become part of my life and one of the tentpoles for how I follow rugby league.

Do you remember when I was "CULLUS.ONLINE"

Back in the days of Sincas and gr8_1

lol

Yes I remember, I've always had the same username just the forum's moved around a few times. I remember when it was invisionfree and at one time the Tigers almost made it an official forum, then realised they needed to distance themselves from the comments made by us nutjobs.

There was this and Front Row Forums I think and that was full of lunatics so I stayed here.

I thought this might be a Benji Marshall thread. Sad to see one of our all time greats running around in State Cup.

Some players don't know when their time is up.

Hopefully Farah can play well for the bunnies as it would be sad to see Marshall and Farah end their playing careers in state cup.

I originally thought the thread was about Anzac Day but about Benji, I only seen one his games last year was against the Tigers and I thought he was one of their best players. I loved him and Mitch having a few words to each other.

When I mistakenly messaged all registered users yesterday it was surprising how many sleepers responded in a positive note. Many are still there but just not active unless prodded.

Yeah, its disappointing to see Marshall in State Cup. Some years ago when he was still at the Tigers, I stated that he would never play State Cup. Wrong! I also never thought I'd see Farah play State Cup either. Wrong!

In hindsight, I think Marshall trying to develop his game to become a more controlled half was his downfall. He was and always should have been an off the cusp player and if only he had a controlling partner in the halves (ala Prince) for all those years he wouldn't have needed to change his playing style. Hopefully he gets a chance or two to be that player for the Broncos, even off the bench.

Benji's listed with an Achilles injury

Do you know what though, why does it matter if a player finishes his career in reserves? It shouldn't be an insult, time comes for us all, what if the dude just loves playing footy at the highest level he can?

You shouldn't have to "know when your time is up", you should be able to keep doing what you like doing for as long as you are able to do it. Why not play reserves, or park footy, or captain-coach a country side.

Respect what they've done in the game, not the outcome of the last game they played.
