Farah for origin

Well done Robbie. Feel for Woodsy. Hasn't been a better prop in NSW so far this year

Agree 100% I would have had Woods ahead of Merrin easily. Lawrence can also feel hard done by given Jennings form this season.

There is no way Lawrence can feel hard done by regardless of Jennings.

Congratulations Robbie

I hope you have a blinder and fall agonizingly short of beating Qld

Sorry my Qld blood rules over every other thought

Congrats to Robbie, very well deserved and long overdue, I hope he kills it.

As for other selections, I don't know why people are complaining about Jennings and Hayne, honestly.

IMO Jennings' form for Penrith has been far from terrible. I think it's a load crap he's been dropped for poor form, it has to be an off field/attitude issue. In any case, wasn't he playing like a dud last year for Penrith and was then excellent when picked for NSW? We need to score points and I think he should be there.

Anyone questioning Lawrence's omission obviously hasn't watched any games this year. He's been poor in nearly every match and didnt deserve to be selected.

Hayne is a proven Origin player, probably the best NSW player in the past few years besides Gallen and people want him excluded? For who? Brett Morris? Please.

The only real poor selections are Creagh and Buhrer. Watmough over Creagh and either Sims or another prop instead of Buhrer and it is a good looking side. IMO we don't need a utility.

Merrin has been very good this year and you can't argue with his selection. Woods' time will come, no need to rush him.

In saying all that do you honestly think that side can win Hybrid ??

It will take an almighty effort but yeah, I thi k they can.

Aside from Creagh and Buhrer that team is close to the best NSW can put on the park.

Last year the spine was:

Minichiello
Soward
Pearce
Ennis

And this year it is:

Stewart
Carney
Pearce
Farah

It looks 1000 times better than 2011 and they should at least be able to score some points.

Very happy with the spine,

Im wondering about the effectiveness of strike power out wide

Yeah Hybrid the spine is pretty good , but when will NSW blood the younger forwards coming through My concern is you will lose this series and next series you will blood Simms ,Woods ,Keefy etc (I don't call 7 minutes blooding ) and you will cause the NSW chances to take step backwards

Honestly you needed to blood either Simms or Woods and play two props Flick Buhrer and go in with 4 forwards with Lewis as the utility

Do I think their is 17 players that can be put together to wion the 2012 SOO series for NSW ?? Yes I do actually , but you needed to take bigger chances and take the risk that the guys you pick don't perform you are willing to stick by them

If u look at the stats jennings is so far ahead of Lawrence it's not funny, I understand that stats do not always keep things in context but certainly gives a fair indication..
As for Robbie, thoroughly deserved, and between him ennis and bedsy, he is a long way ahead of them.
Robbie ur a champion player and tough as nails, a true competitor! Well done!

Hayne has been poor at club level but has always troubled QLD on the wing. He's probably best suited there. Brett Morris has always tanked it at origin level.

I agree with Jennings MM. If he hadn't been dropped to Windsor, his selection would have been a non event. He's managed to bag six tries in eight games outside an underperforming halves outfit. Conversely, Lawrence has only bagged one try from nine outings. Lawrence really doesn't deserve to be there, and it would be a disservice to him if he was picked given he is below his best.

WT fans have cried out for the best players to be picked after Farah has been unfairly overlooked before and then insist Lawrence has been hard done by when Jennings has been underperforming and crossing the strip far more frequently. The only player I feel should have made the team apart from Farah was Woods. He probably should have got a look in over Merrin or Buhrer.

Im glad Farah has been selected, well deserved, hopefully we see him there for the next 5 years.

I like the side in general, I hate Greg Bird as player, he is the biggest mistake maker in the comp and we are clearly a prop short.

Im glad they picked the Carney, the Stewarts, Hayne and Robbie and have started with Lewis instead of benching him, shows the right intent that we are trying to win the game as opposed to not losing which we have done in previous seasons.

When NSW lose, Robbie will be used as the scape goat and dumped for Buderis. Man of the Match wont save him. Take that as Gospel.
