Farah needs to put the club first in 2017

And that's by retiring from rep footy. The writing is on the wall anyway with Gallen announcing his retirement and Bird probably having played his last game. He's the only senior player in the squad whose future remains unclear, and I'm sure he sees the opportunity to captain the Blues so he won't retire on his own accord. His ego won't allow him to. But if he looks at the club he professes to love, next yr at Origin time we'll need him with Woods and Ted gone. Do the right thing and retire from rep footy. You might save a bit of face by avoiding being dropped and you'll be benefitting the club.

I have a sneaking suspicion that he will not be picked next year anyway.

I think you will see a number of players from the Blues in years gone by not making a return next year. I'd be surprised if Bird plays next year as well.

Is this another Robbie Farah thread…Because you can never have too many of them...

Retireing from Rep footy wont be an issue..

Agree, the fact he won't retire from rep footy means he will still be at WT and thats a killer.

Not with the way he's been playing off the bench lately. We're likely to have no one else at 9 next yr, depending how Ballin is.

Bird won't get picked again. If Farah was smart he'd jump before he's pushed. It might not matter either way, but it would win over some of his critics if he walked away voluntarily to concentrate on his club, seeing as one of the main reasons people dislike him is because they believe he puts his state before his club.

Not sure. He actually made a credible comment in that after him, there is a dearth of good NSW hookers.

The opportunity of $90k in 2017 will be too great for Farah to pass up…He is not retiring from rep footy at any cost

He is no chance in 2017\. Daley will hand the team over to the younger brigade.

He should walk from his tigers contract if he gets a decent offer elsewhere.

lol, Daley will stick with his under cover lover Farah.
Who else will play hooker in 2017 for the blues?

Ennis? Didn't play this year.
Peats? Deserves it, injury prone but is a good player.
Rein? Not even dragons' fans rate him.

If, he is picked next year, I have no problem with him playing, retirements a long time ,and if he and the selectors think hes still the best we have, Fine.
As for him leaving if he gets an offer, there is no legal or moral reason that he has to do anything like that.
Whatever he does, it wont be because some on here think he should go.
Going on the attrition rates on Hookers this year , we are lucky he didnt take the advice of the ones who wanted him out this year.

Well if that is the main reason people dislike him than I can live with that. So now I can now discard all those silly and nasty comments from other poster. what a relief.

Robbie does give club and SOO equal billing in that they both have an equal tatoo on his each arm.

Hopefully in the not to distant future I will not have to see any more threads about this guy ,it can not come quick enough.

Stupid thread. Tedesco should retire from rep footy for the good of the Tigers. Robbie doesn't have anywhere near the impact on our club compared to Teddy.

I find it hillarious that he marks a 50/50 contest, lost far more times than won, in the same category as a premiership win.

That comparison is laughable. Tedesco is 9 yrs his junior and is just entering his peak. Farah is 32 going on 33 next yr and has had his day in the sun at rep level, and is at an age where a lot of players give rep footy away to focus on their club.

Farah doesn't owe WT anything. If he has the opportunity to captain NSW next season then good on him, he deserves it and would be an absolute fool to pass it up.
Sure it would be good to have him playing for WT instead but nobody can begrudge him the honour of captaining his state who he has busted his arse for over many games.
As far as the belief that he puts his state before his club, 99% of players in the NRL would happily put playing for their state in front of a regular season game for their club. The prestige and the extra $30 000 in their bank account ensures that will always be the case.
I don't see any other player being asked to step down from Origin to benefit their club. Maybe Farah can be asked to help out WT by paying the club to let him play?
Just seems like another excuse to make out that he more selfish than any other NRL player out there.

So why does he have to quit SOO ? Half the time you are telling us he should be in reserve grade or sacked.

I invite you to link me to any post where I've ever said he should be in reserve grade, or even sacked.

And I never said he HAS to. I said if he loved the club like he says he does then why not give the club his full focus in his last season.

Whatever. It's just a thread designed to continue the Robbie hate that gives your life some meaning.
