Farah to play half against Rabbits

Humble/Miller /Chisholm not in the club…. move your Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon out of position to frankly be half as dominate .This type of thinking is a real worry and it continues season after season ..the players must be wondering what is going on they are the ones the fans come after when they don't perfom in there natural position. And the thing that is ironic Farrah has been a failier at 1/2 every time he has been there go figure :crazy good luck tommorow because your coach is making it as difficult as he can!

which half is he going to play.
1st or 2nd. ( sarcasm detector going to maximum) :unamused:

is this for real or smoke screens/ mind games by the coach.

seriously, leave Robbie at hooker, Benji to 5/8 and Tom Humble or Jacob Miller to halfback.

or benji in no. 7 and blake ayshford in no. 6.

I'm pretty sure lots of people were suggesting this move in another thread (not sure which). Allows you guys to have your new favourite on the field as well.
Also Sheens said he tried a few combos at training and would sleep on it and that was probably the best one - whether it works in the game is a different story.
Moltzen is in doubt according to twitter.

Whats to think about… we lost a 5/8!

Did he fall out of bed and bang his head? Siro's involvement has been minimal most weeks, so why not replace him with a cardboard cut-out simply so we maintain some structure?!

Siro is gone for the remainder of the season... Does this mean Farah will play in the halves for the remainder of the year, or is Sheensous gona change the team again next week???

Tim Sheens moves Robbie Farah to half to partner five-eighth Benji Marshall

Wests Tigers Head Coach Tim Sheens has moved hooker Robbie Farah to half-back for tomorrow’s crucial clash against South Sydney at ANZ Stadium.

Sheens revealed at the team’s final training session this morning that Benji Marshall will return to his regular five-eighth position to allow Farah to play half with Masada Iosefa starting at hooker.

Full-back Tim Moltzen remains in doubt after suffering a hamstring strain in the pre-game warm up in Townsville last Monday night. More will be known following the training session as to how Moltzen pulls up. The forward pack remains intact.

Sheens was pleased with the combination of Farah and Marshall in the halves and Iosefa at hooker in the second half in the loss to the Cowboys.

Despite losing centre Chris Lawrence, five-eighth Curtis Sironen and forward Ben Murdoch-Masila through injury from the Cowboys match, Sheens remains confident his players can rise to the challenge against the third placed Rabbitohs, saying the side can take strength from the heart breaking golden point loss in round 5.

“We had no Robbie Farah. Liam Fulton played 9 and Tommy Humble played 7\. We were down on troops and we lost Gareth Ellis,’’ Sheens said.

“Although they beat us with a last minute field goal in extra time, I think everybody knows on the day we led them by 12 points with 7 minutes to go, we should of won that game.

“We have got a lot of confidence from that. They had a full strength side in that day.

“I’m comfortable that our side is a better side. I know they are too, they are playing better football. They have got a couple of issues so we will be working hard to exploit them.”

Sheens says he is looking for better execution tomorrow after having enough opportunities last week to win the game despite the heavy injury toll.

“In the second half we blew an opportunity in the very first set. The ball bounced wrong,'' he said.

“We had a couple of strips one on one that really hurt us and we had a couple of shifts where the ball didn’t find the player.

“It’s always about execution in a game of football, in any sport.

“We are just working hard on those little things, keeping it simple with a new halves combination although Robbie and Benji have played plenty of football together in that configuration.

“Executing and defending, doing the hard things, kick and chase and defend hard, they are the little things you work on.”

I struggle to even see the rational behind the coaches thinking ..he now knows the extent of certain injuries and still wants to band-aid the positions week to week it's crazy. So now Farah is the 1/2 for the remander of the season? what has happened to Benji at 1/2.This goes for the fullback Moltzen out big deal ..the best fullback is availible and we have what at least 4 wingers to cover Ryan where's the problem .

bad move….clearly this spells the end for Jacob Miller...Tim Sheens quote: " I will not weaken one position to fill another..."

Sheens has lost it,he clearly needs to be shoved out the door Kearney style,we have Miller,Chisolm,Humble and Moltzen if fit who can play half, why weaken our strongest position, just pick blokes in their rightful positions for once,I hate you Sheens you aare crueling this club, please resign now for the good of the club.

I understand a coach has to back their troops but really? He was happy with how the 6,7 & 9 reshuffle worked Monday night?

Okay

Cuzzo has posted that Robbie Farah will play half tomorrow alongside Benji with Masada playing hooker.

IMO that is Sheens being stubborn and lazy ..young Miller should demand an immediate realse to continue his career elsewhere..

an immediate release wouldnt mean he plays no football again this year ,its too late to join another club this year .

Round 1:

1\. tedesco
6\. benji
7\. moltzen
9\. farah

tedesco goes down

1\. humble
6\. benji
7\. moltzen
9\. farah

sheens doesn't like it.

1\. moltzen
6\. benji
7\. humble
9\. farah

sheens still doesn't like it

1\. moltzen
6\. lawrence
7\. benji
9\. farah

sheens still thinks not good enough

1\. moltzen
6\. ayshford
7\. benji
9\. farah

sheens thinks of the 18 yo who he publicly recognises as a future backrow option

1\. moltzen
6\. curtis
7\. benji
9\. farah

in the mean time: our hooker through various circumstances isn't available for some games: he's tried: fulton.. then he thinks, no we need someone better.. buys masada, then plays politoni off the bench for 8 minutes, iosefa and humble at hooker… he still isn't sure who the best option is..

injury no.2:
now that masada has played a couple of good games at hooker, he moves the SOO hooker to half, presumable for the entire season. difference between him and bellamy is that bellamy knew slater would be back in 3 games, sheens knows curtis is gone for the entire season.

now:

1\. ryan/moltzen
6\. benji
7\. farah
9\. masada

no. of injuries: 2
no. of halves combination: 6
no. of spine combinations: over 9000

I see the three of them rotating between 6, 7 & 9 at different periods and different areas on the field

It could work well…time will tell

Not a fan of moving one of the best hookers in the world… I wouldve preferred to leave Farah at Dummy-Half and play Chris Heighington at 6 before moving Farah?!

Geez its hard to contain your thoughts some days!!!

i agree with thefarah comment ,but Heighington to 6 when i dont think he has ever played there in senior football.
im happy with iosefa in the squad , but i would have played him in the 7 .we weaken the middle of the ruck defensively ,but Farah is usualy at first reciever when he isnt at dummy half .

yes but snake we did lead them by 12 with 7 to go last time , dead set give me some of what sheens is taking cause he is living in fairy land

Do you have a source or the quote ?

I Believe the statement from Coach was " I would rather not weaken one position to fill another "

"People are thinking I'll play (Robbie) Farah there but I'm unlikely to because it's weakening the nine.

"Masada (Iosefa) went very well at nine but Robbie Farah's one of the dominant nines in the game so I don't want to take him out of there if I can help it.

**"Sheens was pleased with the combination of Farah and Marshall in the halves and Iosefa at hooker in the second half in the loss to the Cowboys"**

This says it all really - Sheens is pleased with mediocrity. How many points did we score in the second half against the Cowboys? Oh, that's right - NONE!
