Farah set to sue the Tigers

By Tony AdamsAugust 27, 2016

THE Robbie Farah saga is set to take a sensational turn with the star hooker considering taking legal action against Wests Tigers for harrassment in the workplace.

Sources close to Farah have told RLW that the Blues State of Origin hooker has reached the end of his tether and has barely been seen at the club for training this week.

Farah has sought legal advice and is believed to be set to launch a claim that he has been bullied and harrassed by club officials.

Farah is also likely to claim that his long-running feud with coach Jason Taylor has caused him depression-like issues.

Farah has been involved in a bitter war with Taylor over his position in the top grade all season.

He was due to play for the Tigers in the NSW Cup last weekend but pulled out of the team at the last minute, allegedly because of a virus.

Farah has a year to run on his contract with the Tigers but has been in talks with Souths for 2017.

Wow, I don't know why I'm surprised.. The sooner he leaves the better. Looks like he's trying to take the club down with him though. Not confirmed as true, but I wouldn't put this kind of stuff past him..

Wouldn't mind getting harassed at work & getting paid 950k .

Wow does Robbie think he is the only player ever to fall out with his coach …I'm over the crap ...he is a tigers legend , but he is fast looking like a sook ... Move on Robbie so your tigers can move forward ....mick potter would still be here if they took his advice ,which was good advice ....

I didn't read an article Uate suing the Knights….Or Stewart suing the Eagles....or Soward or Taylor suing the Panthers...what does the Farah & Ayoub show get off on...?.

Guess that answers the question about him getting his farewell. He's not burning bridges, he's blowing them up with C4.

My advice to the club is don't resign players under Farah's agent and don't sign new players either under this guy. He is obviously sneaking around behind the scenes and telling Farah what to do. It will get to the stage where the club will just sack Farah, the sooner the better

He has the same legal rights as anyone else
If he has genuine grounds( and none of us know whether he has or not) he's perfectly entitled to sure the arse off them, if he hasn't he'd be wasting his time.

All of a sudden we have Solicitors on this Forum cause there calling him a Peanut for taking such action .
Pretty much what you said Gold Coast Tiger…..if he wants to sue the Club cause they dropped him to Reserve Grade ? I doubt he has a case , unless it stipulates on his Contract that he was Employed only for 1st Grade which i doubt .
If he has grounds that his been bullied around the Workplace to make him uncomfortable and to force his hand to leave ? then he might have grounds to sue .
I think a Solicitor isn't going to waste his time if there isn't sufficient evidence.

This will only finish when Jason Taylor and Farah leave at the end of next year . Then we start again :unamused:

I think its time Pascoe came out and nipped this on the butt. For me he has been way too quiet during this whole debacle. At the end of the day no one really knows whats going on. Pascoe needs to come out, cut the spin, and say it how it is. Until then the circus continues, and we all come up with our own conclusions based on rumour and innuendo.

The club has said what needs to be said:

1) RF has a contract till 2017 and they will honor it no questions asked,
2) The clubs preference is to run the NRL side with Halatau at hooker…(its their prerogative).,
3) RF has permission to negotiate for a contract with another club.

end of story....from the Clubs perspective....what is there more to say....

Now from RF and SA perspective...they just want to sh*t all over the club 'cause this is the first time anyone/the club has stood up to RF...and he cant handle the truth (as Jack Nicholson would say)..

The sooner Farah takes legal action the better it will not only be the club that will have to testify but a lot of other footy types will be called go ahead FARAH make my day you GRUB it will all come out finally !

JT said Farah is being dropped because we lack attacking cohesion with him. He will be considered for selection on a weekly basis like everyone else. BS

Pascoe said, the coach picks the team has nothing to do with us.

Come out and say Farah is not part of our plans moving forward. He is free to negotiate with other teams, if he doesn't he will be playing reggies next year. Cut the BS and just say it like how it is.

So you believe the club has handled this well. Lets go back in time, Jt doesnt Farah in his plans. Pascoe comes out and says Farah is in the plans. Farah starts the year, then gets benched, then gets dropped after playing SOO. We are still being told he is up for selection. The fans arent stupid , cut the BS and just say it like it is. Dont get me wrong Farah has been just as bad, but the people paid to run this club arent handling this very well.

Can we get a doctor to classify that as a career ending injury? Depression like issues, that is not good. Did the professional that diagnosed this also recognise his narcissistic personality disorder?

Are you surprised someone is prepared to stand up for his or her rights in the workplace? A current SOO player dropped for reasons of cohesion? It is a disgraceful look for this club and JT is an ongoing source of embarrassment to WTs.

Places Tiger Torch in an awkward situation having advised that RF was dropped to the lower grade to force him to leave, nothing to do with form (as we all know).

Insurance companies ..as they do..would knock it back on the grounds of Pre-existing condition..

I also take note of this

bullied and harrassed by club officials.

Plural ie. meaning more than 1….seems the sources close to Farah have revealed a little more than just a coaches decision...Interesting times...
