Farah to SOUTH SYDNEY in 2017..OFFICIAL..

Didn't see the game. Looked like he went alright from the highlights I saw.

Happy for for him that he is still competing.

Started reading a few posts on page 96 then realised its just **all those guys who hung their hats on Jason Taylor being the messiah** trying to justify his dud decisons and poor man management once again.

Move on guys.

Only a few just accept Farah went ok and leave it at that.

That would be like me saying you think Gamble is the messiah cos you rate him so much and take it personally against anyone who doesn’t. As it says in your sig, it’s an opinion. No need to get all sassy claiming people thought he was a messiah because you hate him so much.

I dont get the Gamble comparison.

If Gamble never makes first grade and then im still defending that might be a good comparison.

Taylor had his chance and in the end he wasnt good enough. Plenty hung their hats on him being the messiah to fix this club.

Its a Farah thread, he played well but the guys who hung their hats on Jason Taylor just cant let it go.

Quite sad.

The Gamble comparison is quite easy to understand. You’re carrying on about anyone who defends Taylor as thinking he was a messiah. A pretty immature statement. It would be like me taking a swipe at you, saying you think Gamble is a messiah because you rate him.

Missed two important tackles near the end that resulted in trys.

I thought the second miss wasn't really his fault. I think it was Burgess who was lazy and Robbie came across to cover extra ground.

He was solid without being spectacular. He directed the attack, combined well with Reynolds, didn't overplay his hand and set up a nice try for Tom Burgess near the line.

Given our current dummy half dilemmas, I would definietly consider him (as long as he was "on the bus" in tems of attitude and commitment).

Short term solution to our current dilemma!
Now we just need to get over our past history issues and sign him.
But I guess it won’t happen ….. just like Woods issue.
The weather in Slovenia’s mountains is beautiful 22 degrees. Doing some canoeing in Soca river today.

What's going on? Clearly has obviously said that he only wants team players who play for each other. Farah is not that. End of discussion

**Robbie Farah has revealed he almost walked away from the game after losing his first grade spot**

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/rabbitohs/robbie-farah-has-revealed-he-almost-walked-away-from-the-game-after-losing-his-first-grade-spot/news-story/c13ca878f8eb5c7442a257322deaf46c

SOUTH Sydney veteran Robbie Farah admits he considered walking away from the game after losing his spot in the Rabbitohs’ top 17 to Damien Cook this season.

With Cook in camp for his first NSW State of Origin game on next week, Farah performed strongly in his absence as the Rabbitohs ended Cronulla’s six-game losing streak in style.

It was Farah’s first appearance of the season, and came after being linked with a move to a number of NRL clubs earlier this year as Cook seized his shot as an 80-minute hooker.

However, the 34-year-old Farah denied asking the club for a release because he felt he owed coach Anthony Seibold for treating him with respect since taking over from Michael Maguire.

“I never really contemplated a release because ‘Ceebs’ has been outstanding to me.

As a footy player, all you can ask for is honesty and he was real honest with me from day one,” Farah told AAP.

“He told me from day one that Cookie was going to get first crack. He’s treated me with respect right throughout.

“He keeps telling me that I’m not a reserve grader and that I’m a big part of the squad.” Seibold hasn’t asked Farah - who has nearly joined the 300-game milestone club - to play reserve grade every week, while he also encouraged him to travel to Lebanon and be recognised for his sporting career.

Farah felt he needed to repay the rookie coach, but conceded giving thought to retirement.

“It’s never nice, at my age, when you’ve reached the highs that I have through my career, and then you find yourself back in NSW Cup towards the end of your career,” he said.

“You start doubting yourself thinking: ‘Have I played one year too much? Have I still got it? Am I better off walking away?’

“But I know I’d regret it if I did. I still wanted to prove that I’ve still got it and I still think that I can contribute to the team when I get my opportunity.”

Off-contract at the end of the year, Farah is preparing for this season to be his last in the NRL.

“Whether I decide to go to England or not, anything can happen between now and the end of the year.

“If I’m still playing Cup for the rest of the year, then it’ll be tough to go on again next year,” he said.

I’d have him back in a heart beat, we need a 80 minute hooker. He fits the bill, if Ivan can sought all the past B/S out grab him.

I was harsh on Farah when he left, it was mostly my anger at the mistreatment of potter that made me think we should stick with coach's view.

I was wrong. Robbie will be remembered by most as a legend of the club, Taylor had a lot against him on and off the field, but shouldn't be remembered at all. We were on our way to another boy's club under him, and we can all see that now things have turned around.

I think the division it would cause on here would be sad to see if he came back, even with a good attitude. Better to let the mistakes on all sides go, and move on with our journey, but I now wish him the best.

if he was available before June 30 id have him back maybe a swap with MM seeing he cant get a look in. He'd get his swan song and he'd only be around for 12 or so games how much damage could he do?

Sounds like he's still holding a grudge with all the 'honesty' talk.
I hope he gets a run for south's towards the end of the year but wouldn't take him back here .

X2
He's still better than any hooker we currently have .
He'd also give the squad a huge lift and would most likely guarantee us a finals berth .

Well going by past comments from people supposedly close to club personnel, RF is persona nongrata.

I think he has burnt his bridges at the Tigers.

Personally, I can’t see him coming back. The split was nasty and some things can’t be undone.

It goes deeper than Taylor. Some of you just refuse to get it.

Ok - let us all in on the background story.
Personally I think it was disgusting the way the club handled his exit.
If you know better then spill your guts.

Taylor wasn't the only one that wanted Farah gone ..I think is what GNR is saying…

Some faceless men perhaps..

This is true, I only know one person currently involved in the club and the only thing they ever told me point blank was Farah had to go, and wouldn't be coming back.

Nonetheless, he actually shed blood for the team and always put in and so over time I've become more sympathetic towards him as we've seen "people" like Moses come and go.

That's why I think the best thing is to forgive, forget and move on from the whole 2013-2017 era.

JT was the hatchet man whose main job was to get Farah out of the club imo… JT didn't last long after that was achieved

I guess they could have come out said they had depression. That seems to work.
