Farah to SOUTH SYDNEY in 2017..OFFICIAL..

I don't think thruston is worth that amount. I don't see how they can pay him that amount and get a decent team around him.

I think JT is worth that and more. He is playing great football and is a tremendous ambassador for the game.
DCE is supposedly on 1mill a year too and for me I know where the value is.

Despite being the current ESL Premiers the Rhinos are currently running last and with Promotion/Relegation back in vogue we could possibly see Leeds back in the Championship.
They are a wealthy club that will put all their resources into evading relegation, in their place we could see Bradford, Leigh, Featherstone or London take their place depending on how the Million Pound Game goes, last year Wakefield were bound for relegation and have since thrived in 2016, watch this space.

Real good point Leroy

They could go down , and maybe want Farah asap to save their behinds

I don't know how many people on here follow the Super League but I recall around 10 years ago that Wigan of all clubs faced relegation and they opened up the cheque book and bought a new coach in Brian Noble and a player from Bradford who was the best prop in the world at the time among others.

No. He still has a lot to offer the club.

Like what?

It would only be individual things , maybe building on his appearances for the Club or building on his undeserved State of Origin selections .

It's not as if the Club is molding a team around him , he knows the Club doesn't want him anymore just to stubborn to recognize the needs of the Club.

In the NRL community it seems Farah is not liked at all….on Monday Night on the Matty Johns show they were literally laughing at him and taking the piss out of him , even Woodsie was having a laugh when he replied to a question from Hindy " who was the least deserved of a Blues Jersey " he replied with " Farah for sure he doesn't even have to play in the NRL and gets selected " , yeah it was a joke but surely that has to strike a cord with Robbie.

Even Michael Ennis was filthy on Tuesday Night as he felt his form warranted higher honours .

Matty Johns, Matty Johns - is that cretin still polluting our air with his bitter, grudge-laden vitriol? Who in their right mind would watch his show or even care what he thinks?

Woods should have a bit more respect. He's a plodder in Origin and lucky to be there imo, whereas Farah has always been one of the Blues best - win, lose or draw - over many years. He's done a lot more for NSW than Woods will ever do.

As for Ennis, he's had his chances in Origin and has stuffed up every time - cry me a river Michael! Who cares what you think and how well you are playing in the comp, you're still bloody useless at Origin level and everybody knows it.

You watch the Mattie Johns Show FT. 😱pen_mouth:
As for Ennis the grub, i hope he never wears the Blues jersey again. He's had his chances,

I'm busy doing the Tipping Comp Ladder after the Final game and it rolls over to his show , i have a laugh at some of the stuff they get up to…..it's more hearing what there saying as i'm organizing the Comp.

Lol. You're forgiven then FT!

.

Woods is a talented footballer(obviously) but is going thru the stage where his head is bigger than his ability, hope he snaps out of it soon otherwise we have another Benji on our hands. My 2c.

It would be best for both parties if he did leave at the end of the season.

He could play the final year of his contract with us and get his 950k, and at the end of that probably retire. Or he could sign a 3 year $2 million+ deal to play in the UK. Financially he'd be far better off going to the UK.

Last game of the season is at LO, so would be a perfect send off for him.

He won't be playing Origin next season, one way or another. If the Blues win (lol) he would step down as a winner. When we lose it will be time to rebuild for the future.

The danger is Segeyaro. Leeds want someone to play now. Segeyaro could be free to play immediately and would fill their need for a hooker. If Segeyaro can get another deal in the NRL then that would remove him as an option for the hooker they need.

If and when Robbie decides to go play in the Super League, there won't be a shortage of clubs chasing him to play there. He's still is one of the better players in the NRL.

Harsh, but fair :sign:

Whilst that's true, it's irrelevant. Fact is, his cap figure for 2016 and 2017 is around the $900-$950k mark.
He'll get his cash either way - the contract is guaranteed in that sense.

If he does go to Leeds in 2017 and gets paid $x, WT will effectively be on the hook for $950k - $x for 2017\. That could well be a huge saving in the cap, which could make a big difference in the club's ambition for top four next year.

I have more chance of winning gold in the 100m at this years Olympics than the Tigers do of making the top 4 next year.

Without wanting to make judgement on your athletic ability, I'd tend to agree.
That said, they've (board and Pascoe) publicly said it's their goal, and thus they'll be held accountable to said goal.

It's VERY average, at best.

Well said Flip. In regards to Woods, things said as a "joke" can hurt. It's unnecessary and can be taken out of context and give idiots in the media like Matty Jones, more fuel to bash Robbie and our club.

There are dead set some real grubs in NRL yet Farah is one of the least liked

And he isn't even a grub

Real shame how he is so disliked when he hasn't done much wrong to warrant it

With Tallis and Matty John's on the one show - Farah is hardly going to be treated with any respect.
Honest Gordy - does he have an opinion that doesn't have some hidden agenda?
Only my opinion ,- but can't see Woodsdie having a joke about it if he thought Robbie cared too much about what was the chat on the Matt John's show. The premise is to bag everyone they interview and or talk about.

Yeah. Woodsie also said that he wanted to punch the morris brothers. Probably not true.

The whole interview they were taking the piss out of everybody, it was a fletch and Hindy segment. I took it with a grain of salt.
