Farah wants out..

Shame Robbie isn't running the place, coaching, recruiting, and overseeing all media arrangements. Damn sure we would be travelling a lot better than we are at the moment. Unashamedly a Robbie Farah supporter - watched him play too many great games for Wests Tigers not to be. Couldn't care less what he said about the coach a year ago, don't really care that he is arrogant or that he watches movies at Benjis ( you seem to be in the know so I will accept that it is probably true). Also don't care if he was brought up in Campbelltown Leichardt or Woop Woop. - did I say something wrong? I support him as player in our team who delivers week in and week out - take three days off Robbie you deserve it.

really? he needs time off? what for? I don't get it. Don't the guys get media training of any kind? You'd think after all this time and after all the crap he's had to deal with, he'd be used to it.

im not off any of them, but agree that the best thing for farah to do is just weather the storm and at least do the on field training - simply being there rugged up on the sideline if he is unwell is a good sign for everyone and a good example to show.

he should know the predatory nature of the media and their agenda to make a story out of anything - in this case simply not training.

he has by all reports really done nothing wrong (dazza65's faux statement is exactly what should have been done) and that being conspicuously absent only fuels the fires of people thinking he is the sniper he is being painted as.

who knows? maybe he is really upset because he is being seen unjustly? maybe he is really upset because people saying this are right?!

people are different and react differently to situations. farah seems to me the type to almost revel in being able to stick it up to critics and im sure he will be there friday and will probably play a blinder on monday.

Guilt is a heavy load.

just saw this after posting and considered the same thing. is he stressed because he has just been trying to do the right thing or is it a case of "he doth protest too much"?

Guilt is a heavy load.

could very well be the case.

We know he did say something last year, probably nothing he should feel too guilty about. It appears he's changed his opinion.

I don't want to bag Farah, especially without any evidence of his involvement other than an offhand, year old comment. I don't get the ongoing drama though. He seems to be drawing even more media attention to himself.
OK, I get it if he has the sh!ts with management (he seems to be in good company there) but his best move would be to go on as normal, lift his head and get out there, and cut the media out of the equation.

What a stinking, festering debacle this whole saga has become. No wonder we never sign any marquee players, who would volunteer to be associated with the s::tfight that is our club. If Robbie is being incorrectly singled out as the bloke undermining Potter then I feel bad for him because he has been left carrying the can. Then again it just doesn't seem that he has absolutely come out strongly in support of Mick, his comments have been pretty tepid and not really convincing. Missing training is not good for anybody- what must our young players be thinking? May as well hoist the white flag on our season now IMO unfortunately….talk about a club rotting from the inside out. Disgraceful.

A good read and from someone not involved, this might be closer to the truth than many of the rantings of others.
This forum used to be required reading for me every day, but I feel the standard of many of the posts is degrading to the level of much of the media reports, which many people (including me) complain about. It is a pity!

After my post, I read several GOOD posts (not that I necessarily agree or not with their comments) like the two posts above mine. Thanks NT and FtoB for the good reads.

Mighty,
Forum members (myself included) are reflecting and commenting in ignorance because the lack of facts forces them to either speculate or remain silent. Same as the media. The protagonists in the recent events have the ability to change that by coming out with some direct statements about what parts (if any) they have played. If each of the main players came out with some straight talk, the forum would quickly return to the much loftier pursuit of bagging Anasta and Lawrence.

Ever heard of depression it doesn't take much to get there. Everyone is giving it to him from pillar to post it would have to be getting to him. I think the break would be the best thing for him. Try and support him not bag him.

I look at it like this .

Farah and Benji don't get on .
Farah and Sheens don't get on.
Farah and Potter don't get on.

See the common denominator ? I agree Farah is one our better if not best players, but I think there might be another whole side to this and that might be Farah is good at what he does, but maybe he is a c0ckhead to work with and the square peg in the round hole ?

Just my observation from the past few years. Where there's smoke there's fire …

I'm not a Potter fan but I can't say he has been treated well by our club …...... seriously, who'd want to coach Wests Tigers.

Lets look at it another way.

I am a fan of Robbie but he is getting older and the money saved if he left would secure the spine of the team for the next 10 years.

Sacrifice Robbie (Raiders might take him at his current worth) and sign up/extend the future spine on long term deals, 1) Tedesco 9) Austin 6)Moses, 7)Brooks and 12) Sirro, throw in Ava, Akoula, Jessie Sue, Simona and Nofa and build a team around these guys moving forward.

A Robbieless Tigers is actually not that bad a thought for the long term albeit he is our best player atm by a country mile.

Sums it up for mee…..

**No heading for the exit**
_Suggestions that Robbie Farah wants out of Wests Tigers are curious.\
\
Farah is involved in a dispute with a media commentator and denies he has been undermining the coach. That, no doubt, makes him feel bad – but being a player at Wests Tigers is not what caused these problems.\
\
If he was to leave the club – he didn’t show up at training on Wednesday – it would only add weight to accusations that he does not like the coach.\
\
The best way he can show his support for Potter is to train and play. The speculation and innuendo will fade eventually._

Wow, I've read some rubbish on this forum at times, but it seems some people are trying to set a new low. Mostly by blow-ins, but a couple of regulars too who should know better.

I've been following this for days, and the media are sucking this for all its worth. It should have finished on Monday, and yet here we are.

Tallis should have kept his mouth shut and stopped acting like a pork chop. The board should have rooted out any white-anting ages ago, assuming it's not them themselves.

Farah and Potter are both copping rubbish through little or no thought of their own. All of these people who insist they would turn up to work after been given the day off are kidding themselves. Grow up and support your club, or leave.
