Not a film, but if you are in Sydney this is my favourite theatre to watch them: Hayden Orpheum @ Cremorne. They still have a working Wurlitzer Organ that gets played on occasions in the main auditorium. Can't wait to be able to go back.

great cinema I watched Hateful Eight Tarantino movie there with orchestral overture

Emilio or Tim

Emilio, doesn't shuffle the deck chairs as much as Tim.

Watched a weird movie with Estevez in it back in about the mid eighties called Repo Man and the main thing I remember is a line from the soundtrack being "Pablo Picasso was never called an arse hole" or something of the like.

Watched Alien in full today for the first time in about 40 years, having not being allowed to see it earlier in cinema as a young teen. A true classic, remastered and with the soundtrack upmixed from 5.1 through DTS Neural:X to suit my 7.2.4 set-up, which provided better immersion by engaging the overheads and particularly so for the score, it made for a great modern theatre like experience.

Anyone on here catch and enjoy it in cinema back then or since?

I watched it 3-4 years ago maybe, having watched the remastered version. The Director's cut of Aliens is awesome too. Great franchise unfortunately let down by the prequel events in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant - I think those movies missed out on a real opportunity.

Yeah, I selected that version which was also from a 2k DI transfer done from film at the time, but as it's so long since I previously watched it I have no idea on the differences to the theatrical cut.

I didn't let my young bloke watch the original as it is suspenseful and thus allows the imagination to roam, but will probably let him join in for the rest of the anthology as they are more action based from my recollection.

Can cop Prometheus because Charlize Theron is always an attraction for me, well, other than in Monster.
