I wish they bought back the zinger tower. Its their all-time greatest burger.Tried the Zinger Nachos at KFC tonight. Recommended it's basically a zinger fillet chopped up, corn chips, guacamole, tomato salsa and cheese/supercharged sauce. It's messy but a good feed.
Heres a good one for you.Idk if I am brave enough to try it
like your story and most of your music . Only got to dump the spleen and maybe extract the poo shute tube , would that be rightHeres a good one for you.
About 40 years ago, when working in the NT, I was walking home from fishing, carrying a large Baramundie. A local traditional owner that I knew, pulled up beside me, complemented me on my fish, and told me that the best part of a Barra is the guts. I sorta said yeh, right, thinking he was taking the piss and kept walking.
Several years later, I had an opportunity to go fishing in a remote area with one of the senior elders from the clan I worked with. It was he and I and his baby, still in nappies, son. It was a long day and we caught several fish each, (not the baby).
Afterward we found a spot in the shade and gutted our catch. He was very specific about how I needed to gut each fish. He then started a small fire to cook our catch, and I was very hungry.
I noted that the fire didn't seem big enough to cook a whole Baramundie. As the fire burned down to coals, he began preparing the guts, taking off some bits and folding other bits into the stomach, and it dawned on me that this was going to be our late lunch.
He cooked each guts parcel on the coals, turning them carefully with just his asbestos fingers. He then laid them out to cool on some paperbark. They were not the slightest bit appetising to look at and I was not sure that, as hungry as I was, I would have lunch that day.
Once cooled, he handed one to his son, who immediately started munching on it. He handed one to me and I thought if the little kid can do it so can I.
It was delicious. Like a barbq'd cross between oysters and chicken livers.
I rarely fish for Barra anymore, but any I catch, I prepare and cook the guts as a snack. Ive also taught my son how to do it and he enjoys them too.
You'll never know till you try.
