He's a plumber is he not and lives in or works out of the Berala area, or have i mixed him up with someone else?

Yeah that’s him

My children go to school with Michael Withers daughter. He played 40 games for Balmain in the 90s.
Went to school with Tim Brasher. Year below me at Grantham High School. Seven Hills.
Matt Moran (Chef) was in 2 years above me.
My 2nd grade teacher was Ian Schubert's sister. He came to our school a couple of times.
Troy Wazniak grew up in adjoining street.
My Mother worked with Graeme Atkins mother when he played in the 1981 Grand Final.

My year 5 teacher was Steve Gearin, former Bulldogs winger who scored that try in the 1980 GF. The main memory I have of him was that he overlooked me for selection in the Balmain knockout squad even though I was the only rugby league player in our class and dominated the selection trials. I was a quiet and well behaved kid back then and didn’t question his decision, but it cut me up deeply and still hurts when I think about it. Years later I found out he’d had a fight with my uncle in a match a decade or so prior and most likely made the decision out of revenge. Poor form to do that to an 11 year old kid.

Been Cummins (the referee) lives around the corner from me. So far I've resisted visiting his house after games.

I know Terry Donnellan an old Magpie from the 80’s. really nice guy who loves a beer.

I grew up in the same area as Chris Anderson, Steve Folkes and Ray Price. Bulldogs boys were cool **but Ray Price is a DH.**

He is a bit yeah...I'm related to him like second cousins or something. Used to go watch him play a lot when I was a kid up at cumberland oval. I always felt like the only tigers fan in the joint back then. Always left in tears with my cherished flag dragging behind me after yet another flogging lol. Good family friends of ours had a daughter that married Gavin Jones. Went to his wedding. Another complete knob. Did a quote for Jarrod Wallace a month back. He seemed like a really good guy. Didn't get the job though.

Ray Price was an absolute winner though. Never a doubt on that. His teammates would've loved and hated him. He was a warrior

My Economics and home room teacher in high school was John Muggleton

I once refused entry to Brett Kimmorley into a club. Jason Taylor walked into the same place like he'd owned it too.

When I was living on the Gold Coast I taught at the same school as Chris Ryan and Matt Geyer. Both were really down to earth and really nice blokes.

I also taught Anthony Laffranchi's young bloke at the same school.

Ronnie Gibbs used to stop in at my mums shop in Blackheath on his way out West quite regularly. He'd do a bit of work at the school boy carnivals. Mum mentioned how much I love my footy, so a few times he dropped off a hoody and some singlets to give to me from the carnivals.

Bit off topic but I ran into actor Bill Hunter at a footy reunion. He came along with a mate. Little known bit of trivia - he held the world 100 yards freestyle record for about 20 mins in the 1950s.

Closer to the topic, I met Neville Glover a few times. He joined the coppers and became Police Prosecutor. He reckons he is the only bloke who has been to every Court House in NSW.

My old high school teacher was a former All Black forward by the name of Richard Cocks. His name conjures up a thousand nicknames but no one said a word because he was HUGE and was also a good bloke.

I grew up living near Paul Sironen. He still lives in the area and Blocker does as well. My parents still live there. Sometimes I see them going for a walk together.

Andrew Voss grew up in the same area.

Worked with Gary Leo in the 70's for a few years in finance when he moved to newcastle to also coach North Newcaste

I went to Kingsgrove North High and our two PE teachers were Jack Danzey the footballer, and Gary Noake the Olympic hurdler.

There was a lot of buzz around the school in 1964. Gary Noake went to the Tokyo Olympics and made the 200 metre final. Noake represented Australia in 3 Olympics. He was a very nice bloke and got on well with the students.

In the same year Danzey played 5/8 for Balmain in the GF against Saints. The Saints won 11-6. I was at the game. Danzey went on to referee first grade for many years. He died earlier this year.

Someone mentioned Mal Creevey above - Canterbury halfback (played a few games for Balmain). I played touch against him a number of times. He made me look like a goose more than once.

Taught Anthony Minichello..safe to safe he was gud at Rugbeh League..

My uncle was best mates with Terry Regan - he used to come to a few of our family bbqs. Great guy - crazy!

My PE teacher in primary school was Stephen Knight - Wests/Balmain and dual international. I remember him being an absolute giant!

Hopefully Schubert's sister wasn't an accounting teacher if she was as useless at that subject as her brother.
