I'm saying you can't just lump them into two categories, bad old guys and good young guys. All the old guys aren't bad and all the young guys aren't good.I actually have no idea what your trying to say. What's a dumb argument?
I would have said as recently as the end of last season they were up poop creek without a paddle.
Due to a clean out and smart recruitment, 12 months later they look certain to make the top 8 and some of the media talking them up as an outside chance for the 2024 title.
Yes the Bulldogs are getting a lot of mentions in this thread, the simple reason is they were no better off than us at the end of 2023.
They have turned it around very quickly, proving it doesn’t have to take long if done right.
Well Benji has been handing out starting positions based on training performance in the past so maybe demanding selection through great game performance isn’t how we do things now?Who did demand selection from the lower grades through incredible football?
Is it a case of not deserving a go or using the situation to fast track development given we didn't have anyone putting their hand up?
What a load of BS🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Galvin and Bula have both had rough parts of the year making dumb plays. But it's through pure effort. When the older guys stuff up everything (here's the key part) they don't try hard! Can't expect the young guys to drag us out of the mud without having errors when the older guys make errors and barely try. No one is giving the youngsters a free pass (maybe Benji), but they're the only ones having a genuine crack. Plus, the old guys are playing like they are going on holidays after every game while the young fellas are experimenting new plays and combining with each other. No leadership from the senior guys, so the young guys are overcompensating when they should be brought into an environment slowly and carefully
Seyfarth has cost us games but he's had a crack. Naden is tanking it so fair enough. Jayden Sullivan as shit as he's been, I think he's been trying. Not taking it easy. I just don't think he's that goodI think each player needs to be judged on their merits. Lumping Bateman in with guys like Naden & Seyfarth who cost us games through stupidity helps nobody. Some of the senior players have been ordinary, while others have mostly had a crack.
Truth is free to seeWhat a load of BS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's my question. If the young guys didn't deserve it, then who does in your estimation? Who's being held back in favour of young guys that don't deserve the spot?Well Benji has been handing out starting positions based on training performance in the past so maybe demanding selection through great game performance isn’t how we do things now?
Klemmer has been there, done that, for years.Who else is elite though? Ipap and stef showed their true colours. The rest are toilers or inexperienced.
Yes they were…Klemmer has been there, done that, for years.
Bateman and IPap are current internationals.
They were all brought here for their leadership and experience as much as their playing abilities.
But were they told they were coming here to babysit?Klemmer has been there, done that, for years.

Surely their mandate was to work together and bring generation next through? But were they told they were coming here to babysit?
Nah… you’re wrong.What a load of BS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who knows what lies Pascoe sold them. Probably said Mitch Moses was a lock. Bateman in particular I doubt he was up for a long rebuild.Surely their mandate was to work together and bring generation next through?
Depth in the roster was our major issue from day one. The idea of handing development players top 30 spots was absolute madness, and incompetent. That's my question. im intrigued in how they will untangle themselves from that -sweet talk the newbies while silently trashing the old has bnz out the doorDepth in the roster was our major issue from day one. The idea of handing development players top 30 spots was absolute madness, and incompetent.
