FYI Cronulla and Gold Coast Game Betting Cancelled

Why would the NRL do this when the AFDA has not identified any Sharks player that can be issued with an infraction notice and why would they support the Directors of the club over and above the players?

Just to add a little extra

The Mole ‏@RLW_Mole
Now the sh*t has really hit the fan, Moley can reveal this - some chance of a club being stripped of a premiership soon. #andno, notcronulla

That was the time the board needed to stand up and be counted,d.

Instead the PC was a horrible joke.

I am sure had it not been for the lawyer beside him that numpty would have been bullied into releasing priledged information

and more

@JamesMcOnie it said Hasler giving PEDs to Manly & Dogs players. 17 Manly players likely to go, 2 premierships to be stripped. Knights next

bloody hell….....can't we have a season without any controversy?

And on the Sharks, just what is going to happen with the club? Are they going to be able to recover financially from this? They'll be losing sponsors left right and centre, especially if players get named.

If players agree to the six month deals that is on offer there won't be any names Dave

Just players who will mysteriously disappear for 6 months on full pay

If it is true about all these sides , get on the Tigers to make the 8 possibly top 4

But then again , the comp will look like an absolute sham and we will win SOO in a canter

Yeah true, won't be hard to figure out who's out though. But that "deal" is just garbage…...unless the club is suggesting that all the players involved knew what they were taking.

Didn't think anything would top the Storm losing premierships.

I'm smelling ASADA's bluff has been called and they are holding a pair of duces. 'Not enough evidence to request NRL to issue infraction notices'. Where is the additional evidence coming from? And a couple of other points:

SMEG, I simply couldn't understand your post but I would be interested to know what you are saying and

I am curious about the NRL assistance package to Cronulla; I can only hope that the costs associated with this are loans and not grants. If Cronulla has in fact done the wrong thing, why should they be 'benefiting' from NRL cash at the expense of others?

Mixed emotions Happy

1\. If it transpires that we did not 'take the pill" then we should probably thank Sheens for not being tempted like others have been alleged to
2\. Like you I think it's probably the only way we will make the 8, let alone the 4
3\. SOO..every good thing must come to an end SOOner than later

This was an internal Cronulla investigation that had nothing to do with ASADA. They investigated a period of time that was of interest and found there was severe management failures.. which doesn't look good as far as the ASADA investigation as this is the same period that the drug use is alleged to have been at its highest. On the contrary this tends to suggest that the evidence is there.

If the Knights are next it would be
Good to stand players down this weekend. A win is a win however you get it.

very sensible article from smh. Explains a lot.

With no chief, could Cronulla have been an accident waiting to happen? http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/with-no-chief-could-cronulla-have-been-an-accident-waiting-to-happen-20130308-2fr3n.html … via @smh

Section 10 of the SMH article;

10\. How can players the Sharks are advising to plead guilty to doping violations be allowed to continue playing?

At this stage no player has been charged by ASADA so there is no reason for them to stand down but when club representatives have been advising them to accept a six-month ban Cronulla officials obviously believe they are guilty. Therefore, the club should take the initiative and suspend the players immediately as to delay doing so just makes a mockery of the whole process
