@hobbo1 soft decision in the end. He’s got form and admitted guilt. Shockingly he’s eligible to return in time for the finals.

Blame counsel for the NRL for submitting that he should get "12 to 15 weeks with a 25% discount". By that submission he directly told the judiciary that 9 weeks was within range and they were never going to go higher than that. You never give a range when submitting on penalty...

When compared to the $4.5k fine handed out for another also having a recent offence, it is a fair penalty for mine. Trouble is the other one, though not as severe, should have attracted a 9 week or more outing and George's pair, a minimum of half a season to contemplate his wrongs.

Have not looked at the coverage, having only seen it live and on the big screen at the game, but if it was shown anywhere as graphically on the box, it sets a terrible example to our young and the game in general.

A pity Jim Comans is not still around. There would have only been 1 eye gouge this year,the first suspension would have been so severe it would have made sure that nobody would do another one.
Comans cleaned up the game almost single handedly and it has deteriorated to a level that is embarrasing and reeks of favouritism neglect and corruption.The sport i love has been turned into a shambles

Yeah not sure what the whole father statement from Richo was meant to mean. I'm sure Mussolini was good to his kids and called his mum once a week too...
