Gameplan, Re Tigers chasing Dugan

Interesting… They must of really wanted Heighington, so the clubs probably done the same offload like with the Sharks/Fifita?!

I wonder if this means we are getting Waterhouse?

Waterhouse to England I believe.. Hence the Panthers interest in Heigno as his replacement

Mate I've followed Moltzens career for a while now. He has a massive kicking game.

Can you let me know when Moltzen has ever shown this massive kicking game of his in first grade?

More info on the exodus and possible courting of Dugan in the following link.

I have seen it on the rare occasion, but he does not get many opportunities given Farah, Marshall and Lui do the majority of the kicking. Playing off the bench does not help either. The ball comes off his foot similar to Hayne.

He has the biggest boot in the club. The bomb he put up against the Storm 40m out from the Storm goal line could be a reference point for you.

HT I think I remember him hoisting a pretty good torpedo bomb against the Storm at LO?

Not as many torpedo punts as Cronk put on us in that game though, it was a trip down memory lane to see that. Low and hard and carried over the ground well - they still worked!

One bomb in how many years? That's the only example you have? Really?

Do you think if Moltzen had a great kicking game it would have been utilised? Whenever he played halfback he NEVER kicked.

You asked when Moltzen has "ever shown" his kicking ability and I provided a recent example. Your request did not state multiple examples.

He was also injured all of 2010 and as I stated in my post the reasons he has probably not kicked too much this season. You would need to go through matches in 2009\. I am sure you will find more examples to satisfy your revised requirements. Unfortunately, I don't have a database of every minute played of Moltzen's career and cannot pull out more specific examples. Apologies, but I stand by my comment he has the biggest boot in the club.

So he's shown it once in first grade. "Great" kicking game indeed.

Fact: Tim Moltzen has NEVER done any general play kicking in first grade, ever.

if Heighinghton leaves Humphreys should be sacked.Re-signing Gibbs, announcing Fifita's extention and coming out last week stating that Heighinghton will be staying put.
ALL LIES
i'd rather Denis Fittzgerald as CEO as opposed to this no good lying two-bit politician

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

People get on here demanding a change in players, then when the club does something about our playing roster all he'll breaks out.
...
We don't see what goes on behind the scenes, for all we know the club has been open and honest with the players - who are we to judge???
...
How about we just watch tonight's game and cheer the team on?
...
Another silly idea, next year, regardless who puts the tigers jersey on, we cheer the tram on as well?
..
I know, a strange and confusing idea isn't it.

I meant to say "team" not "tram" in the above post….

Incorrect. Will it leave it at that as you clearly don't read posts.

You are nitpicking because you know Moltzen has not ever shown a consistent, competent kicking game in first grade.

I keep hearing he has a massive boot and a good kicking game, but why has he never shown this in first grade?

Every time he has played halfback for us he has hardly ever kicked the ball, apart from the odd occasion such as the bomb a few weeks ago. Every time he plays halfback Marshall does all the kicking.

Why when Lui plays halfback does he kick? If Moltzen had the best kicking game at the club, why would Sheens instruct him not to kick when he plays in the halves?

whatever the [This word has been automatically removed] is going on, I wish they'd do it in the offseason next time

was this the plan for them over the last offseason? spend the 2011 season trying to offload nearly all of our entire playing roster?

it remains to be seen how the team is taking this, but surely the player's motivation must be waning knowing that the club doesn't want most of them

I said Dugan wont becoming here when this rumour first started & nothing has changed, i still think we will keep Rhino though as the fans will pull down Leichhardt Oval. Also have noticed that they have backed off Liam Fulton goining lately. Very Interesting.

Presumably it's gone quiet on the Fulton front because they don't know if Dwyer is ever going to play again. As I've said before, whether or not the club signs players as good as the ones they are letting go I don't suppose the powers that be are stupid enough to literally not have a player in a position come 2012\. "Yeah we're going with 16 for round one - we realised after we shipped Heighington that we haven't actually got a lock at the club so it looks like this might be us for the year."

I'd say its pretty clear this has only happened as apart of the resigning of Tim Sheens mid-season… Obviously he had a plan, and the club accepted it for the next 3 years. Unfortunately, the club cant wait till the off-season to try and sign quality players, they are usually already signed.

I'm hoping the players moving on take a stand and attempt to go out with a premiership. This is the only acceptable outcome as professional athletes, unless of course they plan to take a pay-cut until they move on?

Dude you always have to be so negative and aggressive on here. It's a discussion forum, not everyone attack Hybrid Tiger forum. If you had watched his earlier career in lower grades playing 5/8 you would see what type of kicking game he has. Just cos there is Benji, Farah, Lui ahead of him in the pecking order may have some impact on his kicking game, same as playing him in multiple positions.
