GET RID OF LUI

I still believe that Lui is going to have one of those games where every Rugby League supporter at work on Monday will be saying "did you see that Robert Lui for the Tigers on the weekend, what a freak!" from then we will move forward and not look back. Just hope that game comes soon, very soon (hopefully on Friday against those slimy Eels). Keep the faith eveyone.

Have you actually watched those games? Also, Moltz was only at halfback for 4 and 1/2 games.

We killed the Sharks and Dogs with Moltz at FB during that period. We also beat the Roosters and Moltz played most of the game at FB (Gallant went off injured).

yes was at a few of them have you????

Whilst Lui hasnt been hopeless thus far, he is occupying a position that is keeping a gun out of the action.

Sheens wants Moltz to be a running fullback…anyone with even a quarter of a brain can see that he is not comfortable with this role. He is never, ever in position for attack or defense, he shows zero urgency, he submits in every tackle, he hardly ever puts his body on the line and is very suspect under the high ball.

He is a play maker and unfortunately Lui's presence in the side is weakening two positions.

Great post mate.

That is so true. Moltzen is at great pain playing fullback, you can see that he does not want to be there on his face.

Fonz is ruining another top player.

lui is a talent. problem is so are moltzen and marshall.
i love the way he places his kicks (there was 1 inparticular earlyi n the match).
i just dont know how we fit him in. it wont suprise me if moltzen is origin halfback by the way,

I think you're dreaming by the way. Moltz may be the answer at number 7 but he is a long way from Origin quality.

what compared to mitchell pearce and peter wallace?
motlzen hasnt been given a real crack to make the 7 his own. i think he'll suprise a lot of people.

I'm sure Robert will be a great #7\. Given time. The problem is, Sheens doesn't have any time left. There are no ifs or buts about it. If the Tigers fail to make the top 8 again this year he'll be out the door. Surely he realises this. So, considering that, why is it he's decided to go with a 19 year-old with barely any NRL experience as his starting halfback? What harm could it do to let Lui have another year in the NYC?

It's just so obvious to me that Moltzen should be the halfback this year. Based on how fantastic he was in the position at the tailend of '09 it really should be a no-brainer. The young kid Mullaney is a fantastic fullback and should be given a chance. He's a natural at the position, especially compared to Moltzen.

So we lose a game and we blame the young blokes. typical! I didn't think Lui had a bad game at all. Like round one he did what he had to. Yesterday was a blip and a bad blip at that. Too many guys had uncharacteristically poor days. Moltzen and Lawrence were probably our worst and many others were below their best. I'm willing to give them all the benefit of the doubt this time.

One eyed freddy could see that he was out of action after the 20 minute mark, after rolling his ankle. This and the needle not hitting its mark is not brought up once in this ill-informed topic. Instead of bucketting ____ on this kid, I think a few people should watch the replay and aknowledge the fact that he was hobbling for the bulk of the game, and would have been subbed off the field in the first half, were it not for his refusal to leave. Showed heart to stay on, but was a liability due to the injury, not incompetence.
