Goodbye Benji! Goodbye Farah!

Not even going to bother reading this thread.

If you want 2 of our most important players out of this club you are dead set kidding yourself.

I'd just make Heighno, Ellis and Fulton the captains. They're our backrow and have been giving their all every game, every week since the season started regardless of the score.

The people calling for Farah & Marshall's heads are the same people that will complain that the Tigers have no attacking spark if they get dropped.

Yesterday wasn't an ability problem. Yesterday wasn't a skill problem. Yesterday wasn't a personell problem.

They didn't play with committment as a team. Hard for anybody to come up & play well individually when as a group, they are outplayed.

For those saying Heighington should be captain- I'll ask this: what difference to the team would putting the "c" next to Heighno's name do? Would he play even better? Would his team mates all of a sudden realise that they need to play more like him?

The role of captain, and it's significance to the supporters, is overblown. The captain is just the mouthpiece to the ref on the field. Unless your captain is the half or 5/8, they don't call the plays. Unless your captain is a renegade, they don't make the decision to kick at goal or not- that comes from the sideline.

Heighington doesn't need to be 'captain' to inspire the guys around him. If the rest of the team can't see it already, there is no hope for them to ever see it.

As much as i hate to admit it…Michael Ennis has got too much class and toughness for someone like Robbie Farah! Yeah sure Robbie & Benji would make outstanding touch footy players, but that's it!
P.S..And the other thing is.. why is it that everyone can see that there is only so much juice you can squeeze out of a lemon (Sheens) but Wests management can't ? :brick:

Robbie and Benji are the two i'm most dissapointed with for yesterday. They were woeful! They both need to have a good hard look at themselves because they are capable of a lot better. Their leadership right now stinks, so does there form they're responsible for this sinking ship. If i was both of them, i'd not be able to look Heighington in the eyes today. I'd be ashamed of myself.

wow, marshall was pretty good first part of the season, Farah was as well plus majority of the last 2 years that he could.. now on the back of 4 losses u want to drop them?

why not drop the water boy and orange peeler at the same time

I wouldn't be dropping Marshall or Farah yet, however they both need a swift kick up the backside.

Sheens will not drop anyone anyway, the man has dropped a single player in seven years and even he was back in first grade after a week.

Farah is the problem, He isn't half as good as he and others make out, he can't defend and has zero leadership, yes benji played a shocker but he is hit and miss at he best of times

How does tim sheens have a job, nothing has changed in 5 years, still can't defend and have no leadership

We were young and learning but it has been 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!

The saddest thing about the Bunnies game was that D.Fitzhenry came close to being the Tigers best on field. That is a concern. SHEENS MUST DROP SOME OF THESE SO CALLED ELITE PLAYERS, I'd rather a team of 20year olds get beat giving it their best , than watch a team of stars play like its a chore for them.

I think Robbie is Messed up in the head with all things Rep footy ..he should just forget about it and concentrate on being the captain of his team and getting his game together and everything else will fall into place. Benji is what Benji is if only he had a top flight 1/2 I think this would go a long way to fixing some of the problems .I don't want to change Benji I like his play obviously of late it been well you know.

farah is selfish, i have heard from a good source that he should not be playing as he is injured he is only playing for state of orgin spot . He is not a leader of people , he is too arrogant for leadership

i can tell you for ''sure" that he has played with a broken thumb a sprained wrist and injured shoulder for over four weeks now all on the same side of his body as i have stated previously this origin talk has sent him into a one man crusade for origin with no regard for the team that last tackle option yesterday to go from dummy half 5 metres out was the icing on the cake.i think robbie and benji must remember that a team is 13 plus 4 subs not just robbie and benji and a team not only stay tight on matchday but at training and also socially.

Hello la la land…What we just sit back and wait for the magic and confidence to return.....

There was no effort from those two blokes in the Souths game...

Dropping them isn't the answer agreed...but some discipline and desire to turn things around would be nice...

Look what happened to Parra when they dumped Cayless and installed Hindmarsh as captain...turned their season around....

Would it work here....only the fairies know....but what's doing now ain't....

and selfish. His last play the first time we were on their line on the last was selfish. All this talk about building pressure, grinding our wins. Out the window, go yourself.
He doesn't talk or inspire. Early in the second half behind the posts after the rabbits second try he was quite. He should have been ripping in. He gives up too easily. Give it to one of the two guys who put in 110% each and every week.

all he was thinking was there goes my origin hopes.ever since the origin talk we havent won a game it started with the bulldogs where robbie originally injured himself and it has gone on fromm there.

For mine i would not drop anyone we have three good lower grades why infect these teams with some of these so called stares. Let them start every week and prove to the club and supporters they are worthy to wear the tiger strip and our support this means sheens and co too, if we dont make the 8 start ripping up contracts sheens first

These guys have to go!

They are selfish, they are pigheaded and they don't give a flying-toot about the guys around them.

It's time to select a team of players who want to play in a TEAM

**_In their current form, we have better hookers and five-eighths in the club than Benji and Robbie_** without a doubt.

I think the answers we are looking for actually lie in this verse. Unfortunately, you are wrong. We dont have better Hookers and Five-Eighths at the club, we have 2 very very good Hookers and Five-Eighths but for some reason niether are actually playing the natural game which comes along with these roles…

Robbie is trying to be a play-maker rather than doing the basics first. In such an integral role, the Hooker MUST complete his KPO's first, then attempt something once all the "i"s and "t"s are dotted. Putting the Horse before the Cart old mate. Get back to basics!

Benji is trying to play a Roving Halfback role much like Darren Lockyer. Unfortunately we and everyone else in the football world told Benji he is a superstar. The real fact to this situation is Benji has Superstar qualities, but isnt yet a Superstar. Like Tim Moltzen, Benji's greatest strength is still his running game and at first or a tight second reciever, he cant get to it. Benji needs to let the players inside him do thier job and stand wider to weave his magic! (Sheens must give him and Robert Lui 6-8 weeks to form the right combination for this to happen)

Now we have hit rock bottom, each and every player should be looking deep inside themselves to ask themselves what are the 3 things I'm gona contribute today. Remain loyal to thier 3 point plan and our on-field performance will improve.

We had the best possible 14 on the park yesterday but they didnt play as a unit, they didnt play for each other and didnt have a dig. The answer lies in the preperation of the team and its mental attitude. Making changes is not the answer...

Great indivdual players. Not leaders of men.

No steady influence in the team or genuine halfback to lead the team around the park makes Robbie's and Benji's job so much harder. Lets face it if either one or both have a off day we don't win.

Not read any replies not really willing to but this is the most ridiculous knee jerk post I have ever heard. I agree they with the majority of the team were just shocking yesterday and they need to take a long hard look at themselves but to single 2 players out especialy these 2 who despite all the teams failings over the years have been outstanding since day one is just utter crap!

Yesterday was just sooo bad it was funny. Hey if you don't laugh you end up sitting in a tower with a rifle.

God i love this game..never a dull moment

C'mon you Mighty Mighty Tigers!!!! :sign:
