Great effort

If a 24 point loss can ever be considered so.

What I saw out there was absolutely nothing like a Wests Tigers side of the past. The Roosters tries all came in single instances. There was no lack of effort. Lack of execution aplenty but we were not intimidated and honestly statistically it was the class players they had that won them the game with brilliance and the inexperienced players we have that lost us the game with brain snaps. Take out the moments that led to their tries and it was a very even contest.

Rowe, Brooks and Woods all stood up well. Lack of creativity and x-factor (ie Robbie Farah) was the difference. He should have played.

The effort was there all night … If that was the tigers of old we'd have had 60 put on us !
Still like to see kapow in the starting line up and Keefy come off the bench .

I'm happy with the effort and mindful that Farah and Tedesco are to return, full strength I think we would have rolled them tonight

I thought we did pretty good. The attack left much to be desired again. This game thankfully, looked like one of those empathy games, where both teams play as bad as each other with errors and dropped balls and failed try attempts.

Yeah I agree with most here…there is a grit & toughness thats not been here before....they hang in and were outclassed, not bad for half a reggies team

Tend to agree about Galloway others are pressing for a starting spot! This is defiantly a new Weststigers team the effort is there for the full 80 mts.

Our attack is ordinary. Our halves need to step up and out forwards need to be better.

Considering our injuries though that wasn't a terrible effort.

I agree great effort; frustrating mistakes but that is what you get from less experienced players. Fingers crossed that there are not more injuries to Richards and Tapau.

Thought Lawrence had a great game in attack and defence. Loved Blairs niggle too.

Akoula is not ready for mine.

Akauola is definitely an NRL player. He's just not ready to play 70 minutes starting. He is all impact. He gradually faded and eventually just started backing into the defense Adam Blair circa 2012 style.

If NSW is down 2-0 in Origin we have to play Brooks in game 3\. I thought he was outstanding tonight considering he had no senior support in Farah or Anasta and no strike in Teddy or Simona. He kept scheming and his chase on RTS was brilliant. The hype is real, this kids a superstar.

I might be a little hard on him….he got reckless as he became tired.

This is what happens when you introduce competition for spots.

Blair was great tonight. One instance for me was where he had SBW wrapped up top in a tackle, anticipated SBW going for the offload and repositioned him and flipped him on his back to stop the play. Lawrence looked good tonight as well. Would like to see him to get the space he used to but teams will just number up on him due to his lack of speed. Akauola needs to come off the bench as his game fell apart a little as it went on but he still had a go.

Brooks and Austin tried to make things happen, it just wasn't our night. Rowe looked a different player from the last couple of weeks and Woods put in his usual shift. No one dropped off tonight, we were simply outclassed. I can handle a four try defeat when the players leave everything on the field.

I thought Lawrence was great and Blair really put in as well. Akoula to me just can't handle that much game time. I think he is still a really good option.

An NRL player - probably. Ready for the week on week grind - not yet. He'll benefit from a few weeks back in reggies when the rest are fit and then he'll come up again if we get further injuries. Will learn a lot from these games in 1sts.
