I reckon it was alleged verbal dissent to the ref.
The ref awarded a contentious try to the Steelers (looked like he was held up), Hopoate wasn't involved in the tackle but walked near the ref after he awarded it. Then he was called over and sent.
It was a very good comeback to hit the lead 22-20 after being down 20-0 and reduced to 12 players.
Watching Iszak Isdale is like watching a replica of Jye Gray.

He is so good hey! Provides great shape, strong & elusive ball runner, good cover defender & ball player. With his talent, he'll overcome being short if he has the will.

I love how he always hangs around the ruck. Full of energy. Bula could take a leaf out of his play.

Having seen the Manly team first hand last Sunday - they were outmuscled up the guts by Souths.
Wests have the attributes to do similar tomorrow.
Zeph Finau, former Sea Eagle Isaiah Fretton and Jerome Cosgrave can lay the platform.
Manly's dangerman is fullback Carlito Vesely who's a very classy runner of the ball.
Their prop Billy Miller is a goer, while Jhett Watkin also looks promising - they've moved him from right centre into the backrow this week.
If Wests can channel a little of that old Liddy Oval, Fibro vs Silvertail, Magpie Muscle vibe - they'll be
too strong 😎

Wests Ms are such a frustrating side.
They have zero finesse.
It’s either a forward one off the ruck, followed by another forward one off the ruck, then a side to side shift with no decoys, no deception until it finally gets to the opposite side where someone gets buried (invariably dropping the ball given how much pressure he’s under).
The other play is - throw it to Isdale to see if he can dance his way through (which thankfully he occasionally does)

Almost like bad coaching ….. But never right ? Or am I hating on the magpies…..
I’m 💯 convinced if we chucked funds at the magpies ie. coaching , we wouldn’t have these things .
I wondered what happened to
Robbie Mears after a successful few years coaching our lower grades, seemed to be progressing well?
Saw the other day he’s now at Panthers, coaching SG Ball
Found it odd as an organisation we employed a head coach at NRL with zero experience at the same time as we let go one of our better junior level coaches..
Not surprised, just disappointed.

I was at Leichhardt yesterday and it’s a big congrat’s to the Balmain boys on a gutsy win.
The Warriors threatened to run away with the game for much of the contest but the home team just hung in.
Aroyan burnt them twice on the left edge for two telling tries and his goal kicking ultimately proved decisive.
Entertaining game 👍
