I read on Foxsports that if Cameron Smith takes the Broncos offer .. then Storm want Harry Grant back .. they mentioned that Brandon Smith wants out if Harry Grant gets the number 9, and will look for a new club .. !! So if Storm want Harry Grant back so much .. they will lose Brandon Smith .. !! So who do the Storm really want .. or who are they prepared to lose .. !!

Smith won't leave the Storm. will be an absolute miracle if Brisbane are able to prise him away from there. whether or not he plays on is the big question at the moment.

I tend to think that Melbourne are very keen for him to retire but Smith is very keen to play on...

playing on will feed his ego at being branded the best footballer ever, and probably let him create records that will never be broken. If his body holds up and he can play, then in all honesty why wouldn't he play on?

that whole argument of playing different eras etc will always come into play, but how many footballers have been smack bang in the middle of every change during their time playing? Smith has his nose in everything, to go alongside however many tests, origins, grand finals, point scoring records and games played....he is certainly up there in the discussion at the very least

Yeah I believe that.
I’m talking about Melbourne the club more than the team.
I think they want to solve all their problems with Smith retiring.
Of course Bellamy wouldn’t care at all given next year is his final year coaching and he has no obligations beyond that.

I’m talking about Melbourne the club more than the team.

Even when Liddle is back it's a huge step down from Grant. Even at full strength we were up against it this year with the draw we've got. Huge loss.

I am a fan of Liddle - I reckon he has more upside than Grant. He has speed and the ball delivery is exceptional - Grant is good but not there yet so I wouldn't consider it a step down.

I just hope Liddle can take the field in the future and stay healthy forever.

Yep, round 13. Should be any week now (hopefully that's still the case). Obviously would be eased back in, but would be good having him on the field for even half of a game.

I've never seen Liddle do half of what Grant has done. He's been hamstrung with injury for ages but talent wise I don't think he's a patch on Grant.
