Has Valandys ruined the game?

No he hasn't, the game has changed, just that we haven't adapted, its not all the referees fault, **we do give away stupid penalties and we are guilty of those shitty ruck infringements**

No, I don't believe we give away more than our opposition on any given week. But we definitely get penalised for them more - a lot more.

Momentum wins matches and the ref controls momentum. We have had the ref today three times in four weeks only to have Sutton on the other game. Both absolutely love the new powers they have.

Peter V has sped the game up and given the refs new powers yet dropped a ref. Players make plenty of mistakes when they are gassed as do refs

I watched the game, and from what I saw, the ref was right, beside the captains challenge was made for this type of thing
.

Agree. This can't be ignored. You have people on here saying South's dropped off in the 2nd half - absolute rubbish. We just got some ball and forced them to play.

Whether we suck or not - the blow outs support that it is a different game.

We just need to improve greatly .....the Bunnies dropped 3 gears from about the 30 minute mark

Bennetts presso (if you haven't seen it you need to watch it ) was to take the heat at how bad the Bunnies were in the 2nd half

So, in sheer boredom and curiosity, I went back a few years to just see if we are all just imagining it or things are fairly bad in the game.

I only looked at games where teams won by 20 points or more.

2017 wins differential (26 rounds) and the amount of times it happened
20+ 25
30+ 15
40+ 2
50+ 2
44 games

2018 wins differential (25 rounds) and the amount of times it happened
20+ 25
30+ 15
40+ 3
50+ 1
44 games

2019 wins differential (25 rounds) and the amount of times it happened
20+ 31
30+ 16
40+ 3
50+ 2
52 games

2020 wins differential (20 rounds) and the amount of times it happened
20+ 23
30+ 14
40+ 7
50+ 2
46 games

2021 wins differential so far after 16 rounds and the amount of times it happened
20+ 30
30+ 14
40+ 9
50+ 2
60+ 1
56 games so far

It's a different game with these rules changes

If they want to keep these rules, I think what they'll need to tweak is to reverse the kick-off after a try to give the other team a chance with possession.

The impact comes when it's roll-on after roll-on.

They need to do this from a player welfare perspective too. If the defence is exhausted, there's a greater chance of a loose head-high or injury.

I honestly have no idea how these guys keep up. I reckon I would be out of my feet after 1 set at this speed.

Nice work. That's with a third of the season to go. Could be mid 80's by end of 24 rounds. That would be double 2017/18. Horrific and sudden. Most unwatchable season ever. And I really try to watch as much decent footy as I can (which is hard as a Tigers fan)

I think PVL and Greenburg are the true B.L.M......

Both Languish Mentally...

Please bring back true Rugby League....it WAS a great sport....:grimacing:

but keep player safety protocols....

And they've done an analysis of all the seasons.....
