Have we Finally Hit Rock Bottom????

I'd like to be able to say yes … But I fear unless there are significant changes at the top then next year looks like a year to do some overseas travel !

Coming from the Magpie side I can assure all this could get much worse …if you have no more cattle left it really does not matter what attitude you have.

I think this year is worse than last year. They deserve the spoon.

I agree , I feel it's worse this year than last …
14th is where we'll finish . But if we keep getting flogged by 50+ each week from hear on in is the spoon still in contention ??

We weren't at full strength granted but this side never had the issues Wests had

How many international and SOO players did we still field ??

Attitude is important at all levels no matter who walks on the field

Not a chance… This will drag out for at least 2-3 months. The media wont stop until they get blood!

I'm expecting BIG changes in he Off-Season.

There needs to be. Every position at the club needs to be closely scrutinised - from the front office to the coaching staff, from the media office to the merchandising department. Presumably some of it's been done by Brian Smith - and hopefully most of it was done with an independent and unbiased eye.
Unfortunately we'll all have to wait until the new Board is in place. **_In the meantime, Mayer has to do his job and run this club the way it needs to be run._** No more media appearances by players without authorisation, find those leaking information and deal with forthwith and throw his unqualified support behind the coach - at least until the end of the year.
It's going to be a very long month.

What if Mayer IS THE PROBLEM AND THE LEAKER OR THE SOURCE OF THE LEAKS? Does he have the authority to deal with "those leaking information"?

No.
We've hit rock bottom when our sponsors decide that this basket case organisation is no longer something they want their brand associated with. We won't be able to pay a coach so it won't matter who players want to play for. Anyone with talent will walk and the brand will be sold off to the highest bidder.

That's right Happy … The Magpies teams in the 80s had no one of the calibre of Woods, Farah, Galloway and notables like Blair and Lawrence. But those teams gave their all most of the time but were playing against teams a standard much higher. The reason the Wests Tigers team got smashed is they didn't really try as hard as they could have. For if they did, they wouldn't have been beaten by that score. The Coyboys are good ... But not that good.

Those guys in the 80s had no egos, they were garbos and council workers, butchers and sparkies that played semi pro footy.
They played to the max, played with heart and left the politics which were ALWAYS an issue with Wests, at Ashfiled.
Little talent, but a shitload of ticker
