Lol! It's bloody ridiculous to be suspended for such a lame 'offence', but if the judiciary is gonna be consistent then he has to be suspended for a week just like Frizzell was. We all know that won't happen though because it's Saint Jarryd, not Saint Tyson :unamused:

Like the NRL are going to suspend their meal ticket. Hayne could spit in the ref's face and not be charged.

Like all "crackdowns" it takes less than 6 months for a big player to be caught up ahead of a big game. Yet again the NRL have to decide between losing cred and cheapening a big game.

For the record I don't think he should be suspended, but I don't think Frizzel should have been either. Hopefully letting him off cuts out this stupid crackdown on innocuously touching a referee. The MRC should focus on actual dangerous play.

If Hayne goes Mitch will go too. He bumped into the ref trying to get into position after the intercept break early in the first half. I have no idea if it was visible on the broadcast but we were at the game and saw it clearly. Hopefully common sense will prevail. At least if Hayne is spared there will be a precedent to let Mitch off.
