The point is sone people are going the wrong way about it, you cannot victimise everybody on the HBG board or associated to them for others actions.
DB and maybe one other random are the only ones who have been on the HBG for a long period of time d, the others are inclined Epifania are mostly fresh faces who have nothing to do with what’s happened in the past.
The part that gets me is disrespectful ting former players involved via sssociation. Most of the people being highly critical have no idea that these ex players are trying to right the wrongs and by its naive, uneducated and disrespectful to either not have any idea who they are or still want to attack them for their association with HBG without any knowledge that they have done anything wrong as individuals.

I agree that Richo has too much heart to walk away cold. He will only leave if he sees no way forward, IE HBG has a strangle hold and is within their rights to trash the club. If so, say bye bye to many of the playing group as well.

That’s fair enough and like 95% of Wests Tigers supporters who do not know
a lot about what is going on, but just want stability, want the team to be successful on the field and do not attack anyone else for having a more in depth open minded opinion, that is totally understandable and you are what I consider true supporters.

If they are able to get their way and rebrand under any other logo, I'm out because that would signal that change is impossible. A club rebrand would be a disaster 25 years on not to mention a continuation of the debenture holders that have held the club hostage for so long.

While change is possible, I will support the team and push for new ownership. That is my agenda. What's yours? You like to comment and cherry pick to challenge, but you never lay your cards out...you're not being clever.

We simply need to have the HBG board up for a vote and keep this separate WT model. That's it. Remove the debentures, make people accountable. Allow people to vote for the best for the HBG board. If that's Dennis after he faces a vote, so be it. I doubt it would be, but if it is, then that's a proper members-based structure.

This current structure should honestly be illegal for a members club.

I’m sure a good majority of WT supporters who used to follow WSM just want success for WT. The issue appears to be at HBG Board level. Anything else is just noise.

Totally agree champ, the fighting on this thread is bloody pathetic. I think everyone wants the Wests Tigers to succeed and the vast majority don't want the Balmain or Magpies back, they just want the obviously useless HBG gone and completely independent control of the club put in.

It was beyond farcical when I heard @cochise and Steve talk about how many people had been dismissed from that board for nonsense reasons as well, and 3 chairman/ chair people.
If that’s not an insight into dysfunction I’m not here! Imagine that was the team you work in. 8 people fired in 18 months , and 3 bosses. Most businesses would be looking hard at closing down the section .

Agree mate . The issue isn’t HBG . I mean the name itself implies unity Holman and Barnes . The problem is , the actual humans who made those decisions got fired last year in one of Dennis’ coups . And then he white- anted Julie not long after. Some Game of thrones stuff right there.
The people now in charge arnt even acting in the best interest of HBG. They’re 💯 all in on themselves and Wests Magpies . And not even Wests Campbelltown . Purely wests magpies circa 1980s. So inner city wests magpies .
It couldn’t anymore niche and selfish IMO. Because of this a democratic process to have that board elected , and the removal of the debenture system would be fine . I think even Richo would be fine with that , as it would align with just about every other club who are owned and operated by a leagues club. Eg. The eels , panthers , bulldogs etc.

One thing that has been bothering me though about the wests tigers board makeup was the idea that the owners had veto power because they had more numbers on the board . I mean in principle that’s true , but I always felt like the Balmain delegate would have been more inclined to align themselves to the independents rather than HBG. So technically if Balmain is always aligned to independents just for arguments sake , they could easily vote to have the club sold to say Easts tigers , if they had full autonomy and control ( which they were gearing towards, it’s the real reason for the dismissal). It’s what @poopy_diaper was implying in his podcast .
I mean there’s a lot of assumptions there though. That Balmain would cut off its hand to spite its face , that the independents would be cool , let’s sell to a Brisbane club , etc .
But yea , if you’re clinging to power like Caesar at the fall of Rome , youre gonna be paranoid AF .
