Like if anyone here can't take abuse from fans of a footy club on its own forum, just go away or stop pretending it's an issue. This is a Wests Tigers fan forum, not a public library. Don't come on here without being 4000% in favor of whats best for my club in this dark hour and expect real and true fans to bite their tongues or moderate what they say in response.

If the licence renewal is contingent on selling Wests Tigers to another party, the club carries on. No need to go to Brisbane.

Your scenario would only happen if HBG dug their heals in and were prepared to lose the value of the club in a sale. That would be a big risk to take.

In that event there would be a free licence floating around and even still, nothing to stop a group simply making a bid in the same geographic area.

think it will come out the board wanted to put in place wests tigers in nsw cup
HBG crapped the bed and stopped it by removing board members
why else punt independent board members if that was not part of the wests tigers agenda for the future.

I love how all these people position themselves as good people , or bi-partisan , yet when the rubber hits the road nearly to a man they all reveal themselves . As a trusting person , it’s really one of life’s tragedies I’ve had to come to terms with . It constantly is a theme I watch continuously throughout my life , and a lesson that is completely counter to what we are all taught . Just sad really .

Who does it serve? Clearly it serves the people who make it happen (although you do realise all this Wests Magpies back in the NRL is paper talk - being used to rile up super nervous nellies like yourself. Well they’ve certainly got your full attention)

Kids growing up wanting to wear the same jersey as Benji? Firstly the jersey changes every five minutes. And what about the kids who wanted to wear the same jersey as Larry Corowa or Tommy Raudonikis? What can I tell you, life throws up it’s little hurdles. Resilience is an important tool.

I might suggest you grab a seat, pour yourself a stiff drink and take some deep breaths. There’s no way the Magpies are coming back to the NRL - but geez, I gotta say, you eighth wonder fanatics are good at jumping at shadows 🤣

Totally agree. WT fans cannot allow Richo to just walk. He is the best thing that has happened to this club in a long, long time.

If this eventuates, and while the scheduled Rally is a good start, the fanbase will need to unite and constantly make life feel uncomfortable for the HBG, until the debenture system is gone, along with the current directors.

Wouldn't be a sale. It would just be the NRL retracting the license to HBG (based on the clauses in the contract - game in disrepute) then giving it to another party (this is selected by NRL, such as Perth & PNG).

HBG can keep the brand, but it will be worth nothing.

There may be restrictions on the tiger if Brisbane is selected, but that would be the only hurdle for PVL.

It was simply a return extension of respect, Steph.

I don't share Vish's take here and I made that very clear, but I'm not about to alienate people who are holding their fire based on their perspective of lack of details.

There's far bigger targets that need actual attention atm.

There's been a bit about around Richo suggesting this in recent times.

Tbh I think there's a myriad of reasons that they will use to justify the actions; jersey, grounds allotment, WT board pushing for more disconnected governance heading into 26, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a list as long as Denny's weird wig plat.

...that's not to say any of it is coherent, accurate or justifiably used to enact what they've done though.

Like if I punctured your car's tires, locked all your credit/debit cards, and forced you to change your phone number every 4 weeks??? Do you adapt and change to that or do you tell me to F#)KL off??? Let's say I agree to stop doing it.... let you nearly rebuild all the damage my actiones caused, and then I do it again for the next 15 years???
