well… it doesn’t help us any mate … and portrays HBG as being in some legitimate battle…they are the Goliath with all the power in reality

Yes …which doesn’t help us … a lot still seem to think this is some struggle between two evenly matched forces for control of the club ..the Wests and Balmain clubs…in reality one has all the power and the other is pretty much dead

Your right Tom, there was never anything concrete that came out, though there were always rumblings that they would butt heads with them.

After reading this I cannot see how HBG havnt breached the agreement they made when implementing the independant directors. If this is accurate then Wests Tigers should be calling in lawyers.

When Debentures Become Available​


A debenture only becomes available when one of the existing 20 Debenture Holders resigns or a vacancy otherwise arises.


  • The process is not on a fixed schedule, but the Debenture Holder Selection and Review Committee often meets between March and June each year to review and recommend candidates if any vacancies exist.
  • Ad hoc vacancies that arise outside of this period can also lead to the Board calling for Expressions of Interest.

The debenture system is a historical part of the club's constitution, which initially secured funds for the club's establishment. A key feature of the system is that five of the seven Board positions must be filled by individuals holding a debenture, giving Debenture Holders significant influence over the Group's direction.

Sorry guys found this on reddit hope it's not already posted, if someone has a way to post it that would be great. I can't open it. Looking at the comments didn't fill me with confidence, just sounds like pvl wants assurances there's no attempt to bring the Magpies back that's it. Havnt read it though I'm just going off the reddit comments.
