HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

That's the point.

A review was initiated because of serious mismanagement.
A recommendation was made to solve that.
HBG implemented
within 9 months HBG destroyed it

It was going well...we didn't need the last one on the list above.

Now, the same fools who have just shown exactly why a recommendation was made to get out of the way, are back in power.

I don't know what exactly you are arguing about.
"You keep skipping over my question regarding what HBG had planned to do with the board going forward. At no point I can recall has there been any indication they DIDN'T want to continue with independent board members. Just not the ones they felt were not delivering all important details to HBG."

The march alone won't change much.. but if it becomes an ongoing persistent news piece.. that's a completely different story..

As I've suggested on another thread (which I saw someone post on WT insta page before it was deleted)... If everyone in round 2 vs cowboys turned their back on the game in the 5th minute (to represent the 4 sacked directors + Richo), do you think that doesn't make commentary? Or make NRL 360 on Monday? The bye round podcast? Sen league? Triple M NRL...

If everyone then did it in every game following, it'll stay relevant..

The media has been the Wests tigers fans enemy for so long... It's been tough. But we are in a position to weaponise them against the HBG and apply the blow torch.. it may never work.. but it also may just have the desired impact over time...

Who knows if you don't try right?
Seems as good a protest as any other- plus lets people enjoy football on weekends much better than ripping up memberships will.

I believe there must be more changes to come. Why would BOF and the other 2 happily sit down and work with folks who sacked them 10 days ago, and be out numbered by them?

Is the NRL actually giving HBG time to find a buyer, and a seat at the table to discuss with the prospective buyers from the Wests Tigers inner circle?

Yeah and that's where all your talking in circles has come unstuck.

The plan was control. They have that. Independent directors and all.

You think 5 of 9 HBG is an independent board? Spare me please.

The march is super important.

A. HBG will HATE the media around it
B. Most importantly, it puts to bed the ridiculous old merger club narrative. We need thousands of WESTS TIGERS fans young and old to show everyone a united front.

That was implemented after PVL sat with all the interested parties, yeah?

I can believe that HBG wanted more control. The NRL just gave it to them.

That said- is the board breakdown accurate?

5 x HBG
3 x Independent
1 x Balmain

Where is Wests? Leo Epiphiana (or however it's spelt) was the Wests board member, but isn't actually HBG is he? If he is HBG, do Wests lose a seat in the mix?

I will bet you $100 that HDB won't revert to the prior independent structure, without serious pressure from fans, regulators, and the NRL.

Happy to be proven wrong

I'd say it's in the HBG number. Effectively same thing.

It's very possible.

But we don't know for sure.

It should have been a question asked, demanded...by people in positions to get answers.

We are happy for people to talk about the club falling apart, insiders giving this & that info etc.

Who asked HBG- now what do you plan to do about the independent board spots?

A rally has been organised.

But HBG could have been on the spot the next day if the right questions were asked.

Seeing as we are answering questions with questions, who is the majority shareholder of Wests Magpies?

Once you work that out, then let's talk.

We are looking at action around that game if needed.

It would appear so. Or an oversight by whoever reported it.

That said- I imagine not EVERY Wests Magpies board member is simply a HBG yes man/woman.

People might not get a vote on the HBG representation.

I bet they get a vote on Magpies representation though.

1 of the 5 will likely be a Wests Magpies Rep. It's just semantics though as the HBG control the Wests Magpies as well.

Not a lot of evidence anywhere in these arguments.
I blame HBG for this.

We as fans are only bystanders. Yet this club is something we care about deeply.

We have no say, the board was fired. We are not given the real reasons, so we have to guess.

Wests Tigers is something we deeply love. Heck I too believe all people involved in this love the club (with bad motives, but still love the club). It hurts to have something we love wrecked like this and that's why we are trying to find the reason.

The HBG is a dysfunctional mess, that is constantly backstabbing, why would anyone trust an answer they provide?
