HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

So, who is "my mob" and how did whoever it is start the war.
I suggest you should have a look at your position, and I feel you should reassess the tactics you seem to be following along with gladly.
If there's too much tension in the air caused by you blokes which would very likely lead to trouble on the board AGAIN, PVL may just step in and tell your mob to b/o.
Will you be happy with that on your mind forever.
I would hate to go to bed thinking 'what the hell did I do that for'.
Brent Read is not Balmain or Wests aligned and gave his opinion...how would you explain his comments about the leadership at HBG? What's his agenda?

What about other journos? What about PVL? Why is the league concerned with the management of the club yet you are shocked at why the same sentiment is shared here?

Richo didn't want to come back because your mob won't allow the club to grow through additional investment, his hands were tied nothing else he could do, they won't give him the room to work.

They are just happy to plod along at the wrong end of the NRL ladder for the last and next decade, they are happy to go and watch the Magpies in reserve grade their highlight of a football season.
Richo wasn't sacked, he resigned, so I would be really surprised to see him return.

Evening pondering: What will it take for senior Wests/Magpie/Ashfield figures to feel respected for all the support they’ve provided to Balmain in keeping them alive? Is there a list of wants?

Remembering that Wests Tigers fans are really a third party to all of that and deserve respect too.

I don’t pretend to know or think that’s an easy question.
They are not this party they are the majority of fans and members

Man, are you taking D head pills, there's is no my mob if you're referring to Balmain, it's about the desire to take Wests Tigers forward beyond what HBG are capable of.

A wealthier owner who loves the club and to poor millions into it without a second thought because it's just a drop in the bucket.

I can only see one way forward for the Wests Tigers & it must happen now!

HBG needs to convene a private forum which includes HBG, Wests Magpies, Balmain Tigers, the remaining independent directors, Shaun Mielekamp and importantly a representation of the fans/members of the club (a rep of WT Unite & maybe an additional 1-2 from the existing Fan Rep Group that the club already consults with - click here.

1 - Each party need to resolve & accept that the Wests Tigers is one club and the legacy of both Wests Magpies & Balmain Tigers must be respected. Each party must resolve to STOP any slander, media leaks etc pushing any historic agenda otherwise accept to face sanction.

2 - In this forum each party has the opportunity to present what its expectations are from their position (i.e. so the fan reps get to hear what HBG expectations are of its 90% stake etc & vice versa) and questions can be asked of each party.

If HBG are serious about a 'one club' future, they will do this. There needs to be an understanding & respect moving forward between all parties.

I'm sick and tired of all this sh*t as everyone is. The only way to stop it is to get all parties together in a respectful manner to thrash it out in the one room asap.

I've put in request to speak to Shaun Mielekamp and I'll be telling him this and I reckon he's the type of fan-focused CEO who would already be thinking of this himself.

@cochise @Joel Helmes keen to hear your thoughts on this given you're both on the Fan Rep Group & doing a great job with WT Unite?

PS. I wouldn't expect a resolution immediately at the end of the forum but a forum like this can result in an in-principle agreement to work towards in terms of governance & communication.
BlackWhite Gold,I think your synopsis is admirable and in a perfect world would be doable, but we are dealing with people who view WT as their own personal play thing. Giving up any part of the perks is agonisingly difficult for those who have their snouts in the trough. This ownership issue will not go away unless HBG do the unthinkable and cede power to a truely independent operation. Now, in my view, thats not going to happen unless PVL threatens to pull the licence in two years time.

To add...I think it's important to understand what exactly respecting the legacy of Balmain/Wests means in practical terms. This is a vaguery that is all too easy to point to and creates circular arguments as it means different things to different people.
Yeah exactly. I think for one, is for each club's (Magpies, Balmain) leadership to actually lead by example in not engaging in any Wests v Balmain arguments and through their behaviour advocate for a unified 'Wests Tigers' but also promote the important contribution of their junior development / catchments (Wests Magpies, Balmain Tigers). And highlighting through events etc the history & contribution of its past players & club achievements.

Good post bwg 👍but I think you've got buckleys of anyone on the board reacting positively to a threat like "if HBG are serious about a one club future they will do this".
That's just my opinion @BZN. If HBG are serious about a unified club, fan engagement is never more important than now and they have to take it seriously.

To me, if they do not have a respectful sit-down with members/fans so all parties can understand eachother's positions, they are not fair dinkum about a successful future.

I hear you and that could end up being the scenario given HBG's history. But if they want to turn this around in everyone's favour, all parties have to swallow some pride for the greater good, sit down and thrash this out. If HBG are not willing to do this after everything that has gone on over the past 2 weeks, that tells me they have absolutely no respect for one of the game's biggest stakeholders, the member/fan.

Actually as I type this and my idea of a forum put aside for a moment, WT Unite should write to HBG requesting a sit-down to hear each other out and if they decline, then this is more evidence to present to the NRL/PVL about their lack of respect for us.

"they have played a large roll"--that's different to your original claim where you just said HBG.
So, if your assertion is correct, it means HBG are not totally responsible.
Who were the other perpetrators?
Now, take a deep breath, relax and tell the truth.
Are you ok with that?
Yeah mate, I have you. Balmain played a role in this as well. Our ownership group had held this club back for 26 years.
