I know it doesn't matter to you being anti Ctown and anti LO, but to some of us it does. That's all I'm saying. If Souths took a game to Leichhardt I reckon a fuss would be made.

I'm just pro tigers. I don't follow football fields.

Don't know what you are missing on Gal! Lol

I'm not surprised WT have stopped returning the calls from these muppets. They've been running with their own biased agenda for years. What can you do with a brick wall?

Well it's not the same, how long have Wests been playing out of CSS in some incarnation? Since 1987\. They relocated from a torally different area of Sydney. Newtown played games out of CSS before Wests did, and if they hadn't folded, might still be there.

Balmain played out of LO since 1934, nobody else has held the ground and Balmain didn't relocate to LO.

I thought that Balmain relocated to LO from Birchgrove.

Yes, in 1934 - that is 83 years ago.
Balmain Tigers, used Leichhardt Oval from 1934-1994 and 1997-1999.

Balmain left the ground after the 1994 NSWRL season when they moved to Parramatta Stadium as part of an identity change to the Sydney Tigers. The move was not popular with supporters however and the club returned to Leichhardt for the 1997 season (the Balmain name also returned). Balmain played their final game as a stand-alone team in 1999 when they defeated Parramatta 20–10 in appalling conditions. The ground then became one of the home grounds of the new Wests Tigers team.

As of July 2012, Leichhardt Oval is the most played-on Australian professional rugby league ground in active use in the National Rugby League, having hosted 794 games since Balmain played its first game at the ground against Western Suburbs in Round 1 of the 1934 NSWRFL season, held on ANZAC Day, Wests winning the game 18-5\. Balmain's first win at the ground came in the very next game of the 1934 season with a 27-13 win over University.

Can't replace history or being part of it.

I don't get what you are saying. Are you trying to say Balmain have a longer history at LO? That has nothing to do with what's being discussed.

Yes that is what I am saying. If Souths took a game to LO there would be a fuss because it's been the Tigers HG since it existed in 1934\. Tigers have been the local side since 1908.

If Souths take games to CSS, they would be in a list of clubs to have done so and not even the first one to play there. There'd be a fuss but I'd understand if it's less so.

On a technicality yes they did, but LO didn't exist when the club started and Balmain did not relocate as a district.

Let's forget about Balmain and the Magpies for a minute. In regards to WT's who were established in 2000 and who we all like to claim are a different club to its parent clubs, both Ctown and Leichhardt are equal, as they have been the two heartlands of the club since the beginning.

And they are being treated as equals again this season, for better or for worse, despite the distance from longevity and financial base.

Honestly don't think you can do that. Either we forget Maggies and Tigers and play everything out of Homebush, or we recognise the heritage.

You can't say Leichhardt and Campbo are our heartlands but only give them consideration since 2000\. Tell that to the supporters who turn up in Leumeah wearing Wests jerseys. By that argument Melbourne has an older heartland than WT do.

Based on that argument don't we have more of a heartland at Allianz than ANZ?

Do the Broncos fund a junior nursery? Or do they just have the top 25 and the 20's , which has stopped anyway?
