No one can argue that the Holden wasn't a quality car up until about 25 years ago

I wouldn't even think about buying a Holden now ...we are currently looking ....didn't even get a mention

No one will buy one now
They will need to give them away soon

Good to get on if you're on a car allowance. I read somewhere that the Colorado's will go for $17K for a good high end one. I'd have it paid off in two years and if I could flog it for $5-10K after that you still have a nice down payment on the next vehicle.

I said the same about my Surf

Even if you pretty much give it away if you own it it's a win. It's all a tax write down for me anyway.

Good post.

Why wouldn't you? A ute would serve me well. I always look for practicality and price when looking at cars. I'm not someone who needs a Merc. That'll come when it's time to settle down.

Lol... I know some one who copped one recently for like 50k

As do I. Z71 for $17K? Why the hell not. After sales are going to be around for 10 years still. Sell it with warranty and you'll get more for it again.

Apparently they are being heavily written down to get rid of them. GM must really want out. My mate is an area manager and could get me 13K off one at full price. Might ask the question and see what he can do. I'm trading in the Camry in June so even with the early carry over I'll be miles in front and I'll still have a dual cab ute. That's the reason I don't have a Hilux. Can't justify the near on 60K for an SR5.

Agreed, I have a Camry SX. It's a 2014 model so prior to the reintroduction of the V6 SX, but it's leather interior and the creature comforts are great for a $36K car. Was going to trade up to the SX again with the 3.5L V6 Aurion motor.

Doubt they’ll be going for 17k !

Aren’t the z71 50k new ?
The HSV version is 75k plus
Hilux 2.7 workmate for the win ...can’t kill em !

Toyota stay winning

As a Tradie ..its the ultimate bread winner mate !

Agreed, I have a Camry SX. It's a 2014 model so prior to the reintroduction of the V6 SX, but it's leather interior and the creature comforts are great for a $36K car. Was going to trade up to the SX again with the 3.5L V6 Aurion motor.

I want a CHR so bad...
But got weddings to plan and renovations to complete

Dreams are free.

Really? would have picked you for an 86 type. And I wouldn't have blamed you for that.

Good to get on if you're on a car allowance. I read somewhere that the Colorado's will go for $17K for a good high end one. I'd have it paid off in two years and if I could flog it for $5-10K after that you still have a nice down payment on the next vehicle.

Hahahhahahahaha.
