Home Ground situation needs to change

That's ok son. Stay in school.

Westpac is still not a subsidiary of ANZ. If all the banks own little bits of each other, then by your definition, ANZ is a subsidiary of Westpac. And then the companies that own bits of lots of banks, like HSBC and JP Morgan.

And then the investment companies that own lots of bits of lots of companies, because by definition that's what they do. And they may be made up of thousands and millions of Mum-and-Dad investors.

So what you ultimately appear to be saying is that everyone owns a bit of something and some rich folks own a lot. Oh, and a revelation, that big banks make profit.

I really don't know @cochise: all I can 'guess' at is the locals wanted their team to be the Magpies, and I can fully understand that feeling.

It's safe to say that both L.O and CSS won't get upgraded. Nostalgia only takes you so far.
Darcy Bryne hinted that time is running out for L.O as it falls into further disrepair.

I think it's beyond an upgrade. It will be demolished and turned into parkland.
That area is full of basket weaving whining greenies now.
All these action groups have killed the League's club and are against L.O getting upgraded.

Correct. They control the market. They strategically work together and against each other.
They collude on interest rates as not to undercut each other and their profits.
Behind the scenes they acquire shares in each other.
Think of banks like Mafia organisations. They get along but don't step in each other.
ANZ own a good chunk of Commbank also.

There is a reason they are nicknamed banksters.

@cochise The area is a mix of different supporters dragons dogs etc etc supporters move out to buy a home and settle etc and deep down they follow there original side not the tigers and kids follow what parents follow etc its in the family

Agree 100%, so why would moving there fulltime be a smart move for us?

But the Magpies never really developed a following their either, which is why we ended up merged in the 1st place!

G'day @matchball: now is obviously the right time to leave Balmain Tigers home turf behind and move in with the real people/bogans...with respect... out C'town way, as basket weaving whining greenies are always too busy at demonstrations against everything to go to the footy

I really don't care where we play. Just need a single home ground.
I still don't think it's viable to play at L.O or CSS.

We would have got 30k + at our last game v Sharks at one of the bank stadiums.

Our future is somewhere bigger, not a suburban 80's ground.

Peter V'landys: ARLC new commissioner a game changer for the NRL | Daily Telegraph
8 days ago · Rugby league’s new independent commission chairman Peter V’landys has three major goals — to save Sydney’s struggling NRL clubs, improve suburban grounds and revitalise bush footy. While the Racing NSW supremo can appreciate the need to play grand finals, Origin and Anzac Day ... ..... Seems like the new commissioner sees the value in maintaining and utilizing suburban Sydney grounds.

@jirskyr Full marks to you for your patience in responding to the claim about Westpac being a subsidiary of ANZ. I've read some weird comments on this forum over the years but that's up there with the weirdest.

to be fair how often would we get 30k to a home game anywhere unless it's a final or a game to make a final? How often do we top 20k at anz, or bankwest when we play there?
For where we are at at the moment CSS and LO are our best options with the crowds we get. Of course the money is no good, but they are the best atmosphere and hits the nostalgic notes for whichever side of the merger you're on.
We start winning and making the finals regularly, get a team with a winning culture for a generation (because unless it's the die hards who have bled our colours for our whole lives), then that's when we should move permenantly to a bigger stadium...otherwise there's just a few thousand of us spread around unable to make any noise.
Without success, we won't draw in the fans that don't have the sentimental ties to the tigers or magpies. Yeah our kids are the next step, but where else will we get the fans to fill the regular season matches?

V’landys will need to hurry up before Leichhardt becomes a communal veggie garden !

Gosford.

Going to keep on saying it. Just need to work out how it works for Wests

Personally I wouldn't like that!

If we are talking personally i wouldnt either but this is about what is best for the club.

Its hard to remove our favoritism and allegiances but if we became a strong and successful club most people would be won over.

Not to mention the huge amount of local support you would get if the team embraced the Gosford area.

We average 18 k at Homebush. Gosford holds 20k so were moving for 2k crowds?

Problem is he wont be paying the money on improving or maintaining them.

Good luck with Campbelltown it just has been rated the worst ground by fans in Sydney ... so unless someone has 40 million plus to knock it down and rebuild its a pipe dream ! Leichhardt 3rd Bankwest 1st .

Thats why we need to get in with the new A league franchise their major backer is in construction and has already said things will be happening at CSS .Its worked out well for the Wanderers with Bankwest and you can bet your life no A league team will want to share a home ground it all about tribalism and you can also bet they will want to keep up with Sydney FC and WSW

The new A-League franchise with the construction backer is the Western United outfit from Melbourne.

Macarthur FC don't have an owner or major sponsor yet.

Details of Mavarthur FC
WHO'S BEHIND IT: Billionaire property developer Lang Walker's decision to come on board was pivotal, adding financial muscle to the bid fronted by Potentia Capital director Gino Marra. Ex-Socceroos Brett Emerton and Nick Carle gave the bid its football nous.

This is why we need to get together and talk they are already building a COE

I searched prior to making my post so that must have slipped through. Nothing official on their website or on Wikipedia. I know ProBuild are the major sponsor for Western United. Can you post the link for this?

They are. All banks are a subsidiary of each other. It just appears they are separate entities.
They all own a piece of each other. It's one big party.
The reserve bank sets the monetary policy and banks work within the rules, to an extent.

Did you learn nothing from the banking enquiry just this year?
Banks worked together to screw everyone. It's a cartel with a few players.
Price fixing and dirty tactics of collusion.

They work together against us.
Just do your own research into Mike Fitzpatrick and follow the dots.
