How does Taylor avoid the spoon

It's evident that we just haven't got the balance of youth and experience.
We have put to much emphasis on our young players coming through and the reality is there isn't enough experience around them. To me having 2 rookie halves so young is way to much pressure on them and I think we are years away from seeing there true capabilities.

I'm going to try something out there , just for kicks

Winning game works , and we will do that before the end of the season

Probably not enough for everyone on here , but enough to show we are on the right track

I love all this rhetoric about being on the right track….

The coach is doing enough spin without the fans joining in...

The right track to what??

Tell me where we will finish this season??

My prediction is 16th on current form of all rosters.

Lets see who is closer to the money.

Eddie what you are saying is fact. The only changes I see are Broncos and Souths - definite loss. 3 weeks ago I was telling everyone on here we may make the 8\. I'm an idiot.

You're not an idiot Shane….Just hopeful. :supporter: like me!

I have been saying that we are a bottom four side for a while in 2015 Eddie

The only thing he can do is flush his stupid structures down the bog and allow the players to play football whilst desperately searching for replacements for a third of the squad in the futile hope that something clicks and the players define their own structures/culture.

Most of our 17 are not first graders so possibly an underdog mentality can galvanize them and save us from the dreaded spoon.

From what's on display, I can't really see another win this year. Newcastle maybe, but on paper they're a much better team, so I think we may jag a fluke along the way and possibly pick up 2 more points, but that's probably it.

The problem is that most had totally unreal expectations in the first place.

What the hell - what did you expect? - some were saying top 8, top 4 etc. you probably believe in the "Tooth Fairy" as well. We have the youngest and most "inexperienced" team in the competition. We have the two most "inexperienced" halves in the competition, 3 or 4 wingers that are "inexperienced" trying to play in the centre, there are assorted other younger players who are getting used to or need "experience" in the positions they are playing. Tell me how this backline with the "inexperience" it has is a top 8 or top 4 side.

The word if you haven't latched onto yet is "INEXPERIENCE" in one form or another.
As well as learning from the coach (takes time) they need genuine first grade players to be along side to help and point out what they are doing wrong, what they should be doing and to help give them confidence. Jump on me from a great height here if you like - Why was Brooks playing better last year? simple, a lot of the time he had Anasta next to him and this year he hasn't.
We haven't got coin to buy these type of players at the moment - Taylor told us this at the start of the year, not as if he is giving us BS lines like some think he is trying to spin every time he speaks.

Here we go again - "it is going to take time, you need patience" - of course it is. It was always going to take time, probably a season and a half. I think people need to reassess what the team is about, what the realistic goals are for 2015 and 2016 etc. This would be much more useful and productive than whinging after every game - it is more boring than people saying "have patience."

Instead of looking at the big picture if you can't handle it - just enjoy the small steps, like the form of Tapau and Woods, some of the brilliant runs of Teddy, some of the clever things that Brooks and Moses do occasionally, some of the combinations that are forming and the sensational game that Rowdy had the other night.

We have most of the pieces of the jigsaw spread out and pretty well the border in place - now we have to put in the centre, however we are still missing a couple of important pieces that we cannot afford just yet that will complete the puzzle. Wow! what a picture it will make - people will come from near and far to admire it.

If you don't want to wait that is ok. - go away for awhile watch some movies, go to the races etc. we'll give you a yell when the puzzle is complete and you can enjoy the results with the rest of us.

However in the meantime stop whinging for Gods sake. Go! you Mighty Tigers!!!!!

Get Simona and Nofo back in the team asap. Instead of our centres letting in tries they will be scoring them and it makes a big difference.

A lot of words, a lot of opinion. Thats all it is opinion.

Most think you are wrong and put the poor form down to the style of coaching clashing with the youth.

Its not whinging its, people have simply had enough of mediocrity and refuse to excuse it.

Just like it is your opinion he is wrong TITG

Most don't think he is wrong , most are just sick of trying to explain what is happening to people who have absolutely no idea and want quick fixes

Just like the Roar article on the other thread 4 of the 5 agree that what Taylor is trying to do is the right thing and has to happen for us to succeed into the future

Or maybe you could put your tin hat on and say that that the 4 are all Taylor's family or friends

Well about a week and a half ago you were going to stop commenting on this subject and then a few days later said the same thing

But here we still are ….............

Avoiding the spoon.

1….let Farah play more footy from dh rather than just dishing it off all the time.

2....abandon that stupid kick to the FB and kick it to Pattacakes wing,he is tall and can jump, and if he doesnt get it the opposition should be boxed in..

3....attack whenever u want, this setting up for one play after 5 settlers is a waste of the ball. We have guns lets use em more than once a set, especially in the opponents 20.

4...when we do hit it up how about some players in motion to take the heat off the bloke hitting it one out!!

Point 4 is the big one.

Well yes it is.

Forum experts are blaming our forwards, who at times do get smashed, but dang its so easy to get numbers in on our blokes.

You can hear it at the ground, opposition players yelling out " smash him,one out!".

I put the blame soley on our pisspoor tactics for our terrible field position!

Aftet the Cowboys game i thought id watch this one from the lounge and concentrate on this point.

Youre right, we are getting smashed. Opposition knows we are one out for four tackles, they are compressing their defense and just lining up to give it to us.

Its a tactic that is never going to work.
