The best thing you can do is to follow another sport… plenty of options available. For me, I choose to start following the NFL (not everyone’s cup of tea)... I loosely followed it from 2012-2014, and then started really getting it in 2015\. Now I absolutely love it. I still follow league, but not as closely as once upon a time.

Oh, there have been times where I wish our team would do that. Wouldn't that be something.

It's a bit sooky though, childlike even. Better off starting a fight and start swinging with half a dozen players at least really going at it and being sent off first. We lack the personnel though. None of our players have the cajones. Robbie maybe. He'd be the closest. I don't know if the team would follow him his lead now in doing that, where once upon a time they definitely would have.

Gus almost lead his team off v Manly years ago , I think it was the match Harragon sent Gus off the from the bench

As I read this watching the Broncos game and Milford pulls Corey Harawira Naera by the hair and slams him to the ground after a Panthers line break no sin bin.Commentators say this must be a sin bin.Nup.Two times earlier in the game commentators say well that bronco must go to the bin.Nope.3 times in the one match.Throw in the absolutely nothing penalties that the touch judges have screamed to the ref to give to the broncos.Ricky Stuart is totally right the outside voices are influencing the refs FAR TOO MUCH.Golden child teams win or see yourself in Reserve grade quicker than you can say squat.

Seriously though…...we all get emotional when we feel ripped off. But is the game rigged?? I used to think absolutely not - not a chance. But I now don’t say that with such assurance. Why?
1\. Brisbane’s run of Friday night games over the past few years - surely gives them a 4 to 6 point advantage on the table
2\. Smiths ability to manipulate refs which manifested to refs giving storm majority if 50/50 calls
3\. Subconscious bias towards stronger clubs - this happens with unhealthy regularity
4\. Betting on NRL - betting on sport has historically led to corruption. We are crazy to think our game is immune
5\. Money - it just makes good sense to ensure that a team like Melbourne or Brisbane are playing the money games because their audience is bigger. Much more important than a team like..... I don’t know ..... maybe Canberra?!!
When you think logically about the above points the conclusion I come to is there has to be a level of corruption at some point - do we go as far as calling it ‘rigging’? I don’t know but what I keep seeing over and over again scares me.
And no - I don’t want to follow another sport but I’d like to feel more comfortable about the sport I do follow

Just joined the Raiders forum gonna talk about the same topic I just found the Manly Site by google search where they are livid with the Broncos calls from Sutton and REFS CEO Sutton Snr etc.

Melbourne have had success on the back of have 3 of the best players for the passed decade.

Brisbane haven’t won a premiership since 2006 and have made up the numbers in the finals most times since then.

Manly have been a basket case for almost 10 years.

The Roosters have had up and down success but they stack their roster trying to buy premierships and have got one of late.

Souths were a disaster, had a few good years won a premiership, were rubbish again, have come good again.

Tell me another Major Competition in the world where one team always plays on the Friday night thus getting a seven day break vs their opponents.Do you think if Wests tigers won a premiership with a grapple tackle,chicken wings putting players in wheelchairs we would of gone unchecked like ten years straight.Manly this year suck and have no pull but don't worry once they get to the top again you watch them get the calls again.

Not to a Brisbane or Melbourne level but a hell of a lot more than us Wests tigers.Souths(as I have stated previously only turned into darlings once Rusty came on)have for the first time in history complained to the NRL(Rusty called on Tuesday.FACT)Complaining there was nothing for Suttons 300th the NRL then tell Justin Pascoe you gotta put the 300 on the field how bout 250 for Robbie?Nope go get bent.Roosters where do I start?
