Hull FC sign Wade McKinnon

The larger consensus is that out of our existing crop of players is that Brown should go to fullback and I concur.

Moltzen needs a run in 2nds to toughen up and then use him as a utility 14 for practically anywhere in the backline. That is his destiny.

Benji thinks fullback is Moltzen's best position - nuff said.

yeah but didnt he also say that john morris was good in the halves

Yeah - I wouldn't trust his opinion too much.

Johnny "murder the overlap" Cronk wasn't ever up to it in the halves.

Seriously , if Sheens thinks that Moltzen is a good fullback I will join Bugs calls for the coach to go . He has not proven anything even remotely close to being a fullback this season .

I'm not saying that I trust Benji's opinion, far from it - and Morris was a prime example of how wrong he can get it. I'm just saying that what Benji wants, he usually gets, so it is highly likely that Moltzen will wear the No 1 next year. Like many on here, I would much prefer Brown, though.

With all due respect I don't see Benji managing the club. Humphries manages the club. Any other statement is simply speculation.

I see Moltzen as the best option if he gets his game together at fullback. Why can't the coach also have that point of view ? It mightn't pan out but only time will tell.

Fair enough, it's just my opinion, gleaned from observation of selection processes over the years, but as you say Tiger, only time will tell.

Please sign Darius Boyd.

Huh? What about reatining Jake Mullaney? He is a great fullback and already one of ours. I hope McKinnon's relaese is a sign that WT recognise Jake is a future star.

so if given the option you would retain Mullaney and turn down Boyd? :crazy …u'd rather a guy whose never even proved himself at first grade level over another player who has won 2 premierships and represented both his state and country :crazy ...i swear i have never come across a more over-hyped player never to play first grade than Jake Mullaney

Wade has been solid thius year but today showed that he will continue to struggle with his hamstrings

Best of luck in the UK, hope you take a GF win with you

Although I admit Wade has been in good form this year, he has once again placed a burden on us with his hamstring. Because of his recurring injury he forces constant re-shuffling of the backline (even when he plays e.g. vs panthers). His defence and kick takes are superior to Moltzen, but that is something that will improve and that Moltzen can work on. Moltz has a hell of a lot more speed to Wade and if you check out his highlights imo he is just as good as a support player as Wade. Imo, don't pick Wade if this keeps happening (the sooner Moltzen gets the fullback spot permanently, the better we will be).

I say good ridens, although he has been strong for us, when he plays, and when being the operative word, i doubt he will fair much better int he uk as the cold weather wouldnt be real good for his hamstring im guessing. Its too disruptive to the team, you never know if hes going to play or not, and we lack cohesion.

I agree…see ya later Wade...we took a puunt on you and IMO lost...too injury riddled...Its obvious Hull FC are not aware of his hamstring issues....

surely moltzen is fullback next year he is awesome when he runs the ball being permanent fullback will make this possible! best player in the team
