Really laughed hard at how humble these Souths supporters are now they are favourites for the comp.

Lifted this from the Tele..

We should rest a couple of guys for this match, bring up the reserve graders and keep Sutton, Asotasi & Burgess jnr in there and that should do the job. Tigers are pathetic.

They would be nothing without Inglis, the Burgess brothers and their Godfather Russell Crowe.

i'd love to be able to pull it off. would be amazing for team morale

Won't happen though .
Good luck to Souths and the success there having they really went through some tough times, can't begin to imagine what it was like to be kicked out of the comp .
If Tigers were kicked out my life would never be the same .

Don't worry about it mate. They are on top, we are on the bottom. At the moment we deserve it. Besides, I've had plenty of Sunday arvos on the Leichhardt oval hill sucking on cans watching us give Souths a hiding. What goes around comes around I guess.

Souths are looking really good at the moment and the way we are playing we will get no where near them. I'm sure we would have some fans like that if the roles were reversed

Eh they nearly dropped games to Penrith and Warriors. They can grind out games but they are yet to hand out a thrashing tbh, we could be their first.

They're a class above us, maybe several, but they do have a tendency to clock off during games. Happened a lot last yr and its happened a lot this yr as well. Wouldn't surprise me if we get presented with an opportunity to win at some point in the second half provided we hang in there

It's far from the worst thing I've seen from rival fans and they've earned the right. Huberus is the teams only hope of winning at this stage. Hopefully it permeates through to the Souths players.

I have a soft spot for souths…......years and years and years of watching them get flogged. The Perennial easy beats.

I'd don't mind them having a bit of success.

Yeah but they do have them. That's why they are on top. Every team has their stars thru rely on. So that comment is a bit of jealousy huh?

And they the fans are no different to the ones we have had when we were on top.

Good luck to them. They are THE team to beat ATM.

This thread title is an oxymoron.

But seriously, if we were in their position and they were in ours, imagine how annoyed you would be to win by 30 points but lose Farah and Woods to season ending injuries when you could have rested them and won by 20\. While the person making the comment comes across as an arrogant tool, the thought is right. To win a premiership you have to manage your stock appropriately.

Their was no need for the trash comment "that the Tigers are pathetic" made by the Souths fan. It is very easy to crow and sling mud when you are on top. Sportsmanship is about humility, something which this fan would not know very little about. Hopefully only a very few Souths fans are like him/her.

I feel there is a legitimate question which could be asked though. Namely, where were all of the other foundation clubs' Russell Crowes in the aftermath of the Super League War? Perhaps it is unfair that Souths survived (not that the Super League War was ever about fairness, I know that). If Souths got a Russell Crowe, all of the other clubs should have gotten one as well. Either all the teams who were under pressure should have survived, or none of them should have, if we want to be brutal about it. We could still have the Balmain Tigers, Western Suburbs Magpies, North Sydney Bears etc. if they were lucky enough to have someone come in and completely bail them out of their situation like Souths did.

When did any of those clubs supporters march the streets of Sydney for 5km deep and 50 wide. The supporters got the club back in the comp. The fans were the catalyst - Not Russell Crowe. He saw an opportunity created by the fans and jumped on it. Sure his passion for the club helped in his decision, but if soufs "gave up" and i use that term loosly, like Illawarra or the likes did do you think he would have jumped in? Me thinks not.

Let them have their day in the sun.

True, I mean let's face it the last time they won a premiership Jesus was still a toddler.

Arrogant fans need to be careful though, they are only 1 season-ending injury to a star player away from being also-rans. As we saw when Adam Reynolds got injured in the Bulldogs semi last season. They died in the arse and got thrashed after that happened.
