Idris signing will hurt toothless Tigers..

But he’ll be amazed at the added pace in the game since he last ran into touch.

Last ran into touch?

As uncalled for as comments about ones weight. I guess he asked for it

Taking a shot at the current management for the players we have off contract as if they were the ones who signed them to come off contract all at the same time is playing the man. Lets not pretend that he doesn't have personal motives. He obviously has been relieved from whatever role he had with the club, and his best mates son was recently given the flick. They are not constructive observations at all. And i haven't even mentioned his comments on the COE which make zero sense.

All that is well and good. And there is no problem in pointing that out like you have.

But blokes turning around and calling him a fat slob, like that's some some of insightful response, is just lame in my opinion.

I think your just looking for an argument without arming yourself with the facts of what i'm saying.

Not looking for an argument. If you're offended by what you read, my apologies.

And where exactly were the quotation marks identifying which words were actually his? Oh wait, there weren't any quotation marks as it was a load of crap spun by some intern at rlw.

I'm sure Blocker may have mentioned something in passing to someone about having doubts over whether someone like Idris can come back and re-gain his rep form. That's quite different to what that gossip segment said though!

I was under the impression he wrote the piece, hence why there are no quotation marks and the fact his name is at the bottom, implying he's the author.

If they weren't said by him, I'm sure he can inform RLW and they can retract the article and issue an apology to Blocker then.

No, the piece was seemingly written by "Staff writers". Again with the shoddy quality of 'journalism' who knows. but you don't say something's written by a group of people if in fact is was direct from a well-known person.

Even if they retract it's too late as the headings and talk are already out there. Again, he probably did say something about Idris potentially struggling, that's not unreasonable at all. It's the paraphrasing by interns which is the issue

Poor old blocker. What's he doing these days, guest speaking at buffet openings?

No, he is employed as a broadcaster and expert panel member on Fox Sports…what is your involvement again?

i've seen him around at the buffets regardless

The staff writers wrote "my old club"? I doubt it.

I don't really care about his opinion on Idris …It's the slipper into the Club I can't cop...sure have your opinion ...work on the delivery Blockhead....

Ask Blocker what he thinks and that's exactly what you get. Might not agree with him - but he certainly is not going to tell you what he thinks you want to hear, if it's not what he believes. Dosent mean he is right - as long as he owns it, not such a bad principle to live by.

If it's a slow news day the journos call one of two people, "Blocker" or "Ray Price". Both are seen as jokes and both inevitably get punted from every organisation they're associated with.

Idris won't be worse than Curtis so I'm confident.
He had a good break from the game and travelling the world opens your mind. You see how others live and be thankful for how good you have it in Australia.

I hope that's the case and he is hungry.

Exactly!

Funny thing here in NZ, ex all blacks never criticize the abs. Grant Fox was a co commentator on sky for 7 yrs and never criticized a missed tackle or anything…it was a code for some of them. Now I don't fully agree with it, but I see where it comes from...Loyalty, belonging...

The club has had a solid history recently of uncovering a few underutilised gems. Taupau, Austin & ET.

Add that to management being the best since our inception. Clear communication and some aspiring strategic goals. The COE is definitely something we should be focused on. It would be a big part of the discussions with the big 4 - if they are around and we get this COE underway, I think we are going to look back as these next year's as our resurgence! One that will really define our future and history.

The club have certainly earned the benefit of the doubt! Blocker is being a massive numbnut. I think he's just had one too many knocks to the head and it's starting to kick in.

Probably cost of the premiership in 1988

Warren Ryan cost Balmain a premiership , I don't think Blockhead should cop the blame for this

Blocker got suspended in 88 finals series maybe the difference in the GF, Wazza could be blamed 1n 89
