Disagree.
With all the crap we have had heaped on us this year, from a record injury toll, to unnecessary and undue amounts of attention on our contractual issues, or team members personal issues, it seems to me the ONE thing holding the team together is the unerring testicular fortitude that Sheens has.
We have been hammered from varying media sources for a multitude of things not concerning rugby league.
We have been hammered on the park with injures.
We are still in 7th place! We have a great shot at making the finals, and IMHO winning the whole shebang.
the one constant all year, through everything has been Sheens. Never losing his sh… er ... marbles. Never making excuses - REPEATEDLY telling the press that the team cannot make excuses, even when fans are being much more forgiving (myself included)
If we had a coach like Kevin Moore, he'd have necked himself after 8 rounds, and we'd be running 16th.
Sheens is not just sitting on his hands ater having his contract extended for 4 years - you can see the Sheens factor in effect with the team changes - and I for one am both intrigued, and excited about our prospects.
Lose Sheens, and we lose a lot more than what he is given credit for. I don't want to go back to a Terry Lamb era, and if we lost Sheens and picked up a Dingleberry like Stuart, that's where we would head.
CARN TIGERS!!!
CARN SHEENS!!! :sign:
x 2 underdog .. the tigers WILL make the finals and with a gram of luck, with most of the guns fit and healthy, the tigers will be the team that not one of the likely top 4 at this stage would want to play.
