If we were 5 wins and 5 losses.

So, if we happen to win tomorrow up at hunter stadium against a side that's not going too flash we are 5-5.

we have 7 home games 2 away games and 2 byes in the following 11 weeks.

Cowboys (without origin players), titans, eels and sea eagles are all pretty beatable. and of the other games we have i reckon we can get 2-3 or so wins meaning we could be

12 wins and 7 losses or 11 wins and 8 losses.

looking pretty good.

but that's all contingent on us winning this week and providing a bit of momentum through the origin period.

I am really interested to see how Brooks and Moses go through the Origin period, to be honest I think at present they are more handcuffed by Robbie than Taylor. I expect them to get a more orthadox stlye of service, thus the more traditional halves running the show game, and really see where they are.

Though as you point out Phyre, it think we have drawn alot better box in the race to the end of the season than we would have expected pre season. All depends how many wrinkles we have ironed out of our play during and lessons learned from our poorer games thus far.

really? robbie is playing a very quiet role this year. a good one, picking his moments nicely and obviously making good tackles. i feel he has given more ownership to the halves than perhaps ever before (at least since 2011 anyway).

Don't get too far ahead of yourselves ladies and gentleman

Anything could happen and usually does when the WT's are involved

12 wins, and two byes gets us into the finals probably (28 points)

should really aim for 14

We should aim to win every game this season.

Every team aims to win every game…..Can you name the undefeated team this year...the goal should not to loose 2 in a row and win as many back to back as possible a string of wins sees you charge up the ladder...

We have the destiny in our own hands....one game at a time...

Doesn't matter what other teams do, our goal must be to win every game, the higher you aim the more you will achieve.

I agree that Robbies decisions on when to inject himself in say a dummy half scoot, and even handing over most of the kicking have been great. I actually think that aspect of his game has been very good, and an exercise in the old "less is more" adage, making him much more effective.

I am more talking about how little ball our halves are actually getting, I think he is still a little too dominating in the call of play, a game very orientated around running tight behind the ruck.

For example, Storm play a very similar game to what JT is working us into. Playing off their line out wide, first hit up they work for a quick PTB, and will send the next play directly in behind the ruck. Third tackle after condensing the big bodies behind the PTB, Smith plays to cronk 2 or 3 men out, who dishes off to to a pig centre field… their halves give them width. Take notice next game they play you wil be suprised how often that is a perfect play for play rendition.

Best part is, we play tomorrow. Take note of how often you see a pig get the ball one man out from Robbie 3rd or 4th tackle, to run on an angle away from the PTB to try create their own width. I bet you will be suprised, then pair it with Brooks and Moses' opportunity to distribute during the sets.

Im going to sound like I am bashing him, 3rd post in a row on the same subject, though it is something I noticed, and better yet easily rectified.

I disagree BnW…our halves get plenty of ball. They just aren't quick enough between the ears to use it properly. They get mixed up and pass when the kick is on, kick when they should run it and run it when they should pass.

Robbie has stepped back and allowed them the reigns. Time to take them back. Its like a man teaching his kids to drive. If they are making terrible blunders he says go practice some more in the paddock or carpark etc...you aren't ready for the road.

Let us win this arvo first, then hope to capitalise on our favourable home game run to come.

Certainly don't want to be looking back come the final round to the dogs and raiders games, and thinking woulda, coulda, shoulda.

I looked at the stats last night. Our halves are getting more receives per game than most other halves combos. Also Moses is getting way more receives than most other non dominant halves.

1/2 of Moses touches would be just before he kicks downtown

He doesn't get much ball when in quality field position

Our away form is better than our home form

Suppose when you play at three different home grounds virtually every game seems like an away game :brick:

In a rebuilding year - I am happy for them to keep learning.

Pick up the odd win after trying 100% each game.

Then - we end up where we end up - could be in the eight, could not be.

Hopefully the experience and the learning will be good for 2016.

Wow. I would never have guessed that. Where do you get your stats, MacDougall?
