If you can't win a scrum you don't deserve to win a game

Taylor looked frustrated in the box a number of times today. We're only a few more losses away from the knives coming out again. Welcome to the Wests Tigers.

Is he a dud coach ? I mean I think we are a much better team than Newcastle. JT's structures look pretty ordinary to me.

He's trying to implement a roosters structure to a team that needs to play a free flowing game. Brooks and Moses need to learn to play what is in front of them, they are playing structured when at times they should just back their abilities. The consistent one out with the bomb to end is schoolboy footy. It's boring, uninspiring and it's not effective what so ever. Release the shackles and let's play some footy!!!!!!!!

When are we gonna get that winning feeling back ?

Roosters and Knights ended their long losing streaks in the past two weeks with big wins against the Tigers.

Just wait till we play the Tigers then we will be back in the winners circle again.

My criticism which I have mentioned before is that he seems to be misusing the resources available to him. He has a structure in mind but its not working either offensively or defensively. Its not enough to say the structure works if we never miss a tackle, give away a penalty or drop a ball. You need to adjust it based on the relative strengths and weaknesses of your players and I don't see that happening.

What good is it persisting with a one out pass from dummy half if you cant get to the halfway line and the opposition is getting to your 30 or 20 and putting in an attacking kick? This is just playing to your weakness (their strength) and its a failure in strategy. I'll put the knives away for now but it'll be interesting to see if he changes this or whether he tries to have us playing like the roosters with the roster of the tigers.

You bet me to it.

We got lucky in a game earlier this year where they called it back from a win against the feed

That's just it , rugby league basics

And its why teams don't take penalties , they just wait until we physically and mentally crack

What is comical is that our Coach used to be halfback, you would think he'd have this area covered feeding the scrum.
This turned the game for me and Farahs grubber on tackle 4 when we had a whole backline set to the left.

To me it looked like attitude was the difference from early in the game. The Knights wanted it more and it showed. The scrum loss was just the 'red flashing light' that brought attention to it. To be honest they reminded me of our play at the end of last year.
JT said at the beginning of the season that the team had bought into his (presumably long term) plan. I'm left wondering if players are now realising the shorter term implications of that plan, busting a gut week in and week out to support playmakers on L plates.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Farah mentioned in the presso , they rushed to the scrum and weren't set up normally

Take the extra 10-15 seconds and do it right

We were 10 metres out for Christ sake , it wasn't as if we had to travel the length to score

Again we needed someone to calm it all down , take a deep breath and relax and set us up properly

As a good tradesman will tell you , its all in the preparation , following the right steps correctly

That's it happy and when we are running low on experience out there these things are bound to happen.
Panic will happen.

But you'd think the bloke with 231 games for the WT 's , 11 SOO games and 8 Tests , would stop look at the clock , see we had time , told us to pack our scrum properly (which would of taken what 30 seconds at most ) , called Brooks over and work out what play they were working towards and then followed through

And this is the bloke that will (C) your state in 9 days

Wasting time in this instance was going to be a good thing if we scored , it would put the pressure back on the Knights
