Inglis to lead new-look Kangaroos squad

I am not a great Inglis fan but I am not going to bag him out for this. I didn’t think he looked right after the Souths loss in the semi. Thought then he needed some professional help. To me he looks seriously troubled. I am not at all suggesting what he has done doesn’t deserve punishment however the guy also needs help.

Inglis should resign from the squad immediately for drink driving but wont. For a captain of our national team it is unforgiveable.

Could well be and if so he needs to seek further assistance, but he should also have already stood down from his position. There is so much education for players that there is no excuse.

I agree it’s not a good look, especially for the Australian captain…...but watch this get “swept under the carpet” by the NRL and Inglis.....and I hate to say this, just because he is Aboriginal.....

Being Aboriginal is one of the reasons he should step down. He needs to make a strong statement to his community that he did the wrong thing.

His heart hasn't been in it for the past year or two it seems.

Needs to retire.

If he had integrity he would step down - not only from the captaincy but from the team.

He is bringing the game into disrepute.

Give him as much help as you like - but he should not play!!!

It really shouldn't have anything to do with it him being indigenous… But when he says things like he's representing his people, then unfortunately it does come into it

slightly off topic…but why do Inglis and Latrell Mitchell feel compelled to stand over and stare down players in a very condescending manner when they score tries....anyone else notice this?

Is that the Greek parachutist, Con Descending.
:roll

Pretty sure Mal dropped Josh Papalii from aus team for drink driving.
Cordner probably be made captain I'd guess.

And so the cover up and big rug to sweep this under begins.

In reality he should be publicly humiliated and rubbed out of the game for this. Doing something that could kill someone is far far worse than dry humping a poodle.

Greggy has already used up a fair bit of space under the NRL's "nothing to see here rug".
Signing 2 contracts:the mysterious free boat, the wife beating, now this indescretion…...Greg just about needs a rug of his own now. Carn Toddy, bust out the knitting needles.

Intimidation.
I'd love a player here that does that regulalry… You have to be all over your opponent to justify it

lol woods?
arrow, glasby, de belin, t sims, vaughn, wallace even nathan brown, matt lodge etc would've been better.

I'm not anti-Woods, but after the way the Origin played out, I would have thought they weren't looking backwards. I'm also surprised that a half-decent stint off the bench over a few weeks for a new club tipped the scales so far in his favour, unless there's a massive prop shortage that I'm not aware of.

Cordner should've been captain in the first place. Origin & Premiership winning captain.

Could not agree with you more.

Just Mal looking after his bananabenders as usual - even when they lose.
