yeh i reckon rankin fullback, hunt on the wing or JAC if second tier salary cap is fine.

Hopefully with the 2 week break we will have out best team on the paddock (assuming jt selects our best team) and Moses and Teddys injuries are overcome.
Anyway on the back of the Souths win maybe we have turned the corner with Woods and Co back and we will put a few wins together.

yeah that could work too, be interesting to see what JT goes with, I'm expecting Rankin at fullback though….......unless Moses is out as well.

Im pretty sure that Taylor has already said earlier in the year that the only reason he is playing Rankin on the wing is so when Teddy is out for Rep games, Rankin will just slip back….already knowing the team play and style etc. So I expect Rankin at the back. Some have poo-pooed Rankin on the wing, but maybe it turns out to be a master stroke?

Tiger Torch has also mentioned Rankin would play fullback if Teddy was selected in rep sides. As it now stands he'll be filling in while he recuperates. Addo-Carr onto the wing is the logical choice. Good news is that puts him outside Simona so there's plenty of speed and footwork on our left edge. If Brooks can continue to improve then our left edge will look very dangerous.

So you play a guy out of position for 19-20 games so he can possibly cover for another player for 2-3 games assuming he got picked. That was JT's plan?

I guess, but the bigger picture being he kicks goals okay, and he's versatile. So I suppose that makes sense. His versatility certainly came into play v the rabbitohs.

im not saying this is the reason rankin got picked but we have 3 wingers in top 25: hunt, noffa and rankin. hunt started the season injured and rankin impressed in the pre season/trials so he got the nod. he has looked out of position at times but you cannot fault his effort and that's all a coach asks when picking a team. all this crap about "he's there to take over tedesco" is just the coach or others trying to convince themselves imo.

I guess his kicking has been passable, but not great. Reckon they would have been hoping for a little more there.

Jordan may not be the deadliest kicker we have had,but he has a go,he was swapped around during the South's game and he adapted very well…he showed his genuine talent as a rugby league player playing out of his preferred position and adapting to others...re.FB and wing...would love to see what he can produce in the halves if ever he had to play there...
