Is Being a Wests Tigers Supporter the Ultimate Futility?

I can’t watch Kepaoa anymore - can’t defend and fumbles too often and probably the slowest winger in the NRL
Twal offers limited options - just another CheeKam
I’d like to know what the ….Toa and Plore we’re doing tonight. Having some sort of contest to make the most errors.
The most amazing thing was we played like crap most of the night but we’re still in the game with 15 to play.
Too many errors, backline D horrific, both sides.

Bula is a real find, well done to him on a good game but barely any mates.
The team is a disgrace to themselves, the club and it’s supporters and no end in sight.
If Benji is actually coaching them then he may as well resign now coz they always look like they barely know each other.
Pardon me but [This word has been automatically removed]ing hopeless !

As it stands, The Tigers have lost a generation of fans, soon it might be 2 generations. Itll be a real issue in years to come as us oldies all die off. I have grandkids and friends kids that span the entire schooling system from K to year 12 and even into Uni. All of them hold the opinion they wouldnt be caught dead barracking for the Tigers. The current insult is being called a Tigers fan. There will be very very few rusted on Tigers supporters aged 20-40 in the coming years if something doesnt happen soon. Annandale 'Dales' will be more popular in 20 years than the Tigers.

At the rate we’re going we won’t exist in 20 years.
I have had a lifetime of supporting the Tigers, through good and bad, but this is stretching my loyalty to the absolute max.

I played a season with Drummoyne " the dirty reds " in the late 60's .Dont follow rugby union so are Drummoyne still around ? Where are West Harbour based ?
I seem to remember Drummoyne having some really good players and doing very well back in your days. Was Arthur Magill one of the great players?

The notables that I remember among the Dirty Reds were Alan Cardy, Greg Davis and Arthur McGill.

Back then, the grade teams were a different game, had fierce/dedicated tribal fans, and the players gave it all - just as did the Western Suburbs boys too back in the day.
You played well in grade, you went onto represent Sydney, the State, and the Wallabies - no Super/Rugby Championship then. Life was simple then. Footy was fun. And then along comes progress. 🤣

I remember having more than a few quiet ones at Drummoyne Rugby Club , gone now. Then on to the Rowers or Sailing Club. Good days.

What a great tri-fecta with Greg Davis being another outstanding player.

A friend of mine went to Newington College so played a bit of rugby.
I remember him telling me the sailing club was a good pick-up-joint.
So, no wonder you thought they were good days 😉.
