Not in a footy Club TT

The recruitment committee is made up of the CEO, Manager of Football Operations, Head Coach and Recruitment officers...J Pascoe Nov CEO update

Pascoe is very much along the lines of most CEO's speaks well

Understand what your saying GEO,however Justin cant sign off on anything in regards to recruitment solely on his own..
I think some on here think he does....

I think Pascoe is incredibly important to this club going forward. He has worked really hard to get us financially stable, to attract sponsorship dollars and to improve our facilities - ie the Centre of Excellence. As far as recruitment goes, the club was left reeling when 3 players kept everyone guessing for 6 months or so as to whether they were going to re sign - Woods, Tedesco and Moses. Pascoe has responded with the recent Mitchell debacle that the club will not be chasing players that don't want to be here. If, as suggested, players who have left us are talking the club down, then that harms recruitment of new players. This will change. I really believe in Karma. I can see players who love this club and have knocked back offers from others to stay - ie Thompson, Twal, Garner. Pascoe has given the club stability - now we need to continue to build positive club culture.

Reasoned post.

I feel sometimes the fans expect too much from Pascoe regarding recruitment and football operations. He'll make loose statements in regard to players and the like as that is what will be expected from him if a quote is sourced from him. The reality is that lays with the football operations team, primarily the coach and recruitment manager.

I also feel that him being expected to shoulder the blame for Cleary's handling of his exit was a little unfair. The way Cleary handled that was unforeseeable and if anything I feel that the CEO and board managed to turn an unmitigated disaster that was taken out of their hands into something positive with the hiring of Madge.
