Is the penny dropping?

Finally….
1\. some aggessive D
2\. we put the trick shots away
3\. we grinded out metres,
4\. we kicked into corners
5\. we forced mistakes
6\. we played good field position
7\. we put a team to the sword
8\. we cut out the stupid penalties

As Potter says rugby league is a simple game. Last week we looked great in the first 20 but we didn't do these things and paid the penalty. If we do these things consistently we will win more games than we lose.

The game plan was the same this week, except we executed it for 80 minutes, not 15\. The side tackled really well and completed sets, whilst still asking direct questions. There is doubt Potter is starting to shows his values, with a big bench and more direct style.

All I want is competitive and aggressive performances. We need to win back respect and with his gameplan I think we can. Im not expecting to make the 8, however I want to see them reach that benchmark they did today most weeks. Confidence is a funny thing and wins like today will give the coach and players confidence they are on the right track.

Last week's loss could be a blessing in disguise…..I sense that robbie had been overcalling plays for a while under Sheens and it cost us big time in big games.

Fark it is one game against a side that played poorly FFS. If they get within 10 of a rampaging Souths after a stinging loss I might take notice.

Mate, you think you just waltz into a joint with a bunch of players and staff that someone else developed and coached….. write up the new game plan, click your fingers, and hey presto everyone gets it and you magically become a top 4 team?

Potter will have done an amazing job if we are competitive week in week out and make the 8 with a squad that clearly has some major deficiencies and an 18yr old 7.

I'm always a happy magpie , but seeing the Tigers won't be able to take their emblem with them I think I will stick to being a happy tiger for a little longer , just in case

Not being picky here (well maybe just a bit) but the Wests Tigers tiger is different to the Balmain tiger. Also, even though many will disagree, I'm starting to see evidence of Thomson buying into the Potter deal and why Potter directs a lot of love his way but of course, going by the evidence of one game can be fraught with danger. As long as the team doesn't stop to pick up the penny we _may_ even threaten the top 8, who knows? For the time being let's just soak up the glory!
